As of October 2026, Connecteam prices each of its three hubs (Operations, Communications, and HR and Skills) separately. Every hub has Basic, Advanced and Expert plans at $29, $49 and $99 a month billed yearly, or $35, $59 and $119 billed monthly, covering the first 30 users, with a per-user charge after that. Businesses with fewer than 10 employees can use a free Small Business Plan.
The pricing is built differently from most workforce apps: a flat fee for the first 30 users, then a small per-user charge from the 31st user. That makes it cheap for teams around 30 and means you only pay for the hubs you use. Prices are in US dollars, which Connecteam says applies across its website and product.
Connecteam prices by hub
| Hub and plan | Yearly billing (first 30 users) | Monthly billing (first 30 users) | Each extra user, yearly / monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operations Basic | $29/mo | $35/mo | $0.8 / $1.0 |
| Operations Advanced | $49/mo | $59/mo | $2.5 / $3.0 |
| Operations Expert | $99/mo | $119/mo | $4.2 / $5.0 |
| Communications Basic | $29/mo | $35/mo | $0.5 / $0.6 |
| Communications Advanced | $49/mo | $59/mo | $1.5 / $1.8 |
| Communications Expert | $99/mo | $119/mo | $3 / $3.6 |
| HR and Skills Basic | $29/mo | $35/mo | $0.5 / $0.6 |
| HR and Skills Advanced | $49/mo | $59/mo | $1.5 / $1.8 |
| HR and Skills Expert | $99/mo | $119/mo | $3 / $3.6 |
Connecteam says yearly billing saves 18%. Each hub also has an Enterprise plan with custom pricing.
The free options
| Plan | Who it's for | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Small Business Plan | Businesses with fewer than 10 employees | Free for life, which Connecteam describes as including everything a small business needs with barely any limitations |
| Limited plan | Teams of up to 30 users after the trial | Free for life, with the essentials of each hub but not everything from the trial |
| 14-day free trial | Everyone | The Expert plan's full capabilities, no credit card needed |
Free plan: yes, and that's the sourced insight most comparisons miss. Connecteam's own pricing FAQ names a free-for-life plan for very small teams, so a business with under 10 staff may not need to pay at all. The catch with the Limited plan is the reverse: Connecteam warns it doesn't include everything you'll have used in the trial, so some features you've got used to will go.
What each hub covers
- Operations: time clock, job scheduling and quick tasks. Basic already includes GPS clock in and out, unlimited jobs, payroll integration, open shifts and unlimited checklists and forms.
- Communications: chat, a company feed, a knowledge base and a help desk. Basic includes unlimited personal and group chats and file attachments.
- HR and Skills: time off, org chart, courses, documents and recognition. Advanced adds unlimited courses and up to 2 e-sign documents; Expert raises that to 10 and adds API access and webhooks.
You can mix plans across hubs. Connecteam's own example is a business on Expert for Operations, Advanced for Communications and Basic for HR and Skills, while a very small business could stay free on every hub.
How the per-user charge works
Take Operations Basic on yearly billing: $29 a month covers your first 30 users, and every user from the 31st adds $0.8 a month. On Operations Expert the extra-user rate is $4.2 on yearly billing, so the plan you choose matters much more as you grow past 30. Run the numbers at your expected headcount for next year, not just today.
Billing and cancellation
- Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, with no refunds for prepaid amounts.
- Annual subscriptions include a prorated refund if cancelled within the first 30 days.
- If you don't subscribe after the trial, your information is kept until you subscribe or ask for the account to be deleted.
- Live location tracking, where enabled, only records location while users are on the clock.
Is it worth paying for?
For a deskless team, such as cleaners, field technicians, retail or hospitality staff, the Operations hub is usually where the value is: GPS time clock, scheduling and checklists in one app. If your team's already on a separate chat tool, you may not need the Communications hub at all. And if you're under 10 people, there's little reason to pay before you've tried the free Small Business Plan. You'll know quickly whether you're hitting its limits.
Don't forget the trial ends on the Expert plan. If you've set up workflows that rely on Expert features, check they still work on the plan you're moving to before day 14, or you'll find out when they stop.
Which plan to start with
- Under 10 employees: try the free Small Business Plan first.
- 10 to 30 users: compare the free Limited plan with Basic on the hub you use most.
- Need geofencing, auto clock out or more than one time clock: Operations Advanced.
- Need API access, webhooks or more e-sign documents: Expert on the relevant hub.
- Large teams: ask about Enterprise once the per-user charges add up.

The verdict
Connecteam's pricing rewards small teams: fewer than 10 employees can use it free, and the flat 30-user fee keeps paid plans low until you grow. The thing to watch is stacking hubs, because each one is priced separately, and the Expert per-user rates climb quickly above 30 users. Start free or on Basic for the one hub you need, and add more only when there's a clear job for them.
