As of October 2026, Postman's Free plan costs $0, Solo is $9 a month billed annually and Team is $19 per user a month billed annually. Enterprise pricing is available from Postman's sales team.
Postman is the tool developers use to build, test and document APIs, and plenty of small software companies and freelance developers rely on it daily. Its pricing has a detail that catches teams out: both the Free and Solo plans are for one user only.
Postman plans and prices
| Plan | Price | Users included | Postman AI credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 user | 50 a month |
| Solo | $9 a month, billed annually | 1 user | 400 a month |
| Team | $19 per user a month, billed annually | Unlimited | 400 per user a month |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Unlimited | 800 per user a month, pooled |
The one-user limit
Postman's comparison table lists 1 user included on both Free and Solo. If two developers need to share collections and workspaces, you'll need Team, priced per user. For a freelancer working alone, Solo gives more AI credits, integrations and history than Free for $9 a month billed annually.
Team can also be bought through AWS, which Postman lists on its pricing page, and that can help companies that already have AWS billing set up. Team also lists unlimited workspace and collection viewers, which is useful when a product manager or client needs to see your collections and API documentation but never sends requests themselves. It saves you adding them as full members just so they can look.
AI credits and overages
Postman AI runs on credits. Free includes 50 a month, Solo 400 a month, Team 400 per user a month and Enterprise 800 per user a month, pooled across the organisation. If you go over, Postman charges pay-as-you-go overages:
- Solo: $0.05 per credit.
- Team: $0.04 per credit.
- Enterprise: $0.035 per credit, with volume pricing available.
Postman's Agent Mode uses these credits to build requests, tests and Flows, analyse responses and automate documentation. If your team uses it heavily, budget for overages on top of the seat price.
Other limits that differ by plan
| Limit | Free | Solo | Team | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Integrations | Up to 5 | Up to 10 | Up to 50 | Up to 100 |
| Calls to the Postman API a month | 10,000 | 100,000 | 1 million | 10 million |
| Collection recovery | 1 day | 30 days | 90 days | 90 days |
| Context Graph API queries included | 1,000 a month | 5,000 a month | 5,000 a month | 5,000 a month |
Beyond the included Context Graph queries, Postman lists a charge of $0.01 per query. Cloud performance testing on the paid plans is listed at $0.04 per virtual user hour.
Collection recovery is the one I'd pay attention to. On Free you can only recover a deleted collection for 1 day, while Team gives you 90 days. For a business whose API tests represent weeks of work, that alone can justify a paid plan.
Single sign-on as a Team add-on
Postman sells single sign-on for Team as an add-on called Simple Security. It covers SSO with providers such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID, with just-in-time provisioning. Postman says it's an organisation-level add-on that must be enabled for all licensed users, it isn't available on Free or Solo, it's included with Enterprise plans, and SCIM provisioning isn't part of it.
Free or Solo for a freelancer?
Postman's FAQ asks what the difference is between Free and Solo, and the comparison table answers it. Both are single-user, but Solo raises AI credits from 50 to 400 a month, integrations from 5 to 10, calls to the Postman API from 10,000 to 100,000 a month, and collection recovery from 1 day to 30 days. If you build APIs for clients and keep their collections in Postman, the longer recovery window is the part I'd value most, because losing a client's test suite costs far more than the subscription.
Trying Enterprise first
Postman's FAQ says teams can trial Enterprise features to evaluate advanced collaboration, security and governance before upgrading. If you're a growing software company weighing Team against Enterprise, that's a sensible way to test the governance features without committing.

How to choose a Postman plan
- Count the developers who need access. More than one means Team.
- Working alone with light AI use: Free.
- Working alone and need more integrations, API calls or recovery history: Solo.
- A shared team workspace: Team, and estimate AI credit use per person.
- Need SSO: add Simple Security to Team, or trial Enterprise.
If you're weighing other API tools, my list of Postman alternatives covers the main options, and my guide to the OpenAI API shows one of the APIs small businesses test most often.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
My verdict
For a solo developer or freelancer, Postman Free covers a lot, and Solo at $9 a month billed annually is a cheap upgrade for the longer recovery window and extra AI credits. The moment a second person needs to collaborate, Team at $19 per user a month is the plan, because Free and Solo are single-user. Keep an eye on AI credit overages if your team leans on Agent Mode.
