How Picsart credits work
Credits are what Picsart's AI tools run on, and each generation uses some. Picsart's Help Center explains the rules:
- Picsart plans include credits, and the number depends on the plan.
- Plan credits reset when your credits renew and don't carry over.
- Extra credits added separately don't expire.
- If a generation fails, your credits come back automatically, usually straight away and sometimes within 24 hours.
Picsart also says the number of credits a generation uses depends on the tool, the model and the settings, so the same balance can go further on simple tasks than on video.
The cancelling mistake to avoid
Picsart's Help Center puts this in capitals: deleting the Picsart app or your Picsart account won't cancel your plan. You have to cancel where you signed up.
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, open the section that lists your app plans, tap Picsart, then cancel.
- Android: open Google Play, tap your profile icon, open the section that lists your app plans, tap Picsart and cancel.
- Website: sign in on picsart.com, open Settings and choose Downgrade to free plan. Picsart says that's the same as cancelling, and your account carries on with the free plan.
- Windows: follow the Microsoft Store steps for managing your plans.
Picsart recommends cancelling 24 to 48 hours before your renewal date so the cancellation goes through in time.
Free Picsart trials through partners
Picsart runs partner offers that give free Pro trials. One that's live on its Help Center is with Klarna: Klarna Core members can get a 14 day Picsart Pro trial and Klarna Plus members a 30 day trial, in selected countries. Picsart says these offers are for new users and people on the free plan, and you can only redeem them through the partner's link, not in the Picsart app. Older partner offers on the Help Center are marked as ended, so check the date before you rely on one.
Using Picsart with a team
Picsart's Help Center says you can add team members to a plan and manage them in Team Management on the website. There are four roles: Owner, Admin, Member and Developer. Owners and Admins add and remove people, while Members use the premium features. Picsart also says you can't change the number of seats yourself after you sign up, so pick the size carefully.
Another long free trial: Magenta Moments
Picsart's Help Center also lists an offer with Deutsche Telekom's Magenta Moments app: a 6 month free trial of Picsart Pro, with no card needed to activate it. It's for new or free Picsart users in select European countries, and the Magenta Moments app shows it if it's available where you are.
Is free Picsart enough?
For cropping, filters, text and simple edits on your phone, the free plan does the job. If you want the AI tools without limits or more than 100 MB of storage, that's where Pro comes in.
