The best partner relationship management software depends on your programme: a quick-start portal suits a first referral scheme, an ecosystem platform suits teams working shared accounts with partners, and an enterprise PRM suits large channel programmes. Ten options follow in no particular order.
Partner relationship management software gives your resellers, referral partners and agencies one place to register deals, find marketing material, learn your product and see what they've earned in commission. It turns a loose network of contacts into a programme.
The ten PRM tools below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, from portals you can launch quickly to platforms for large channel teams. Every description comes from the vendor's own site, read this week. If you're planning joint campaigns with partners, my co-marketing campaign template gives you a structure.
Partner relationship management software at a glance
In the free plan column, Yes means the tool's own site names a free plan, a free tier, a free portal or an open source edition. Trial only means a time-limited trial. Not stated means the pages I read named neither, even where there's a button inviting you to try it.

Portal, ecosystem platform or full PRM?
A partner portal gives partners a login with resources, deal registration and lead sharing. Ecosystem platforms focus on finding the accounts you and a partner have in common, so you can work them together. Full PRM suites add onboarding, training, tiers, marketing automation and partner billing.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
A new programme rarely needs the full suite. Start with a portal and deal registration, then add training and tiers as partners grow.
Keep incentives above board
The Ministry of Justice's Bribery Act guidance explains that a business with adequate procedures in place to prevent persons associated with it from bribing will have a defence to the section 7 offence. Partners acting for you can count as associated persons.
That matters for partner programmes. Rebates, rewards, gifts and marketing funds should be written down, approved and visible in your PRM, so everyone can see what was offered, to whom and why. Clear records protect you and your partners.
Questions to ask PRM vendors
- How quickly can we launch a portal partners will use?
- How does deal registration work, and how are conflicts handled?
- Does it sync with our CRM both ways?
- Can we run tiers, training and certifications?
- How are partner rewards tracked and approved?
- Can partners co-brand our marketing material?
What partners want from a portal
- Fresh material. Decks and case studies that are current.
- Easy deal registration. A short form, a fast answer.
- Clear rewards. Know what they'll earn and when.
- Quick training. Short lessons they can finish in a day.
Signs you need PRM
If partners email for the latest deck, deals clash because nobody registered them, or you can't say which partners drove revenue last quarter, a PRM will help. The first win is usually visibility, for you and for them. Don't forget your own team, either. Sales and partner managers need to see partner deals in the CRM they already use, or they'll keep working from their own notes and the programme won't get the credit it's earned.

My plain advice on choosing PRM software
Talk to three of your best partners before you buy anything and ask what slows them down. It's usually finding up-to-date material, registering deals and knowing what's in it for them. Choose the tool that fixes those three for partners, not the one with the longest admin feature list.
Then keep the programme simple at the start: one tier, clear rules and quick payouts. When you're splitting work on joint campaigns, my co-marketing asset split template keeps everyone clear on who does what.
Frequently asked questions
What is partner relationship management software?
It's software that helps companies run partner programmes, with portals for deal registration, resources, training, communication and partner rewards.
What's the difference between PRM and CRM?
A CRM tracks your own customers and sales. PRM manages the partners who sell or refer for you, and usually connects to your CRM.
Is there free PRM software?
Some tools offer a free portal to start. Check the free plan column in the table for each one.
What is deal registration?
It's a process where partners record the deals they're working on, so they're credited and protected from conflicts with other partners.
Do small companies need PRM?
Not on day one. A handful of partners can work from shared folders and a CRM, but a portal helps once the programme grows.
How do I measure a partner programme?
Track partner-sourced and partner-influenced deals, active partners, time to first deal and how quickly partners complete onboarding.
