SaaS blogs that accept guest posts include some of the highest authority sites on my whole list. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 22 sites are software company blogs or software review sites: 21 were live and 20 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include shopify.com, blog.hubspot.com and wordstream.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.

Software companies run some of the biggest blogs online, because content is how they win customers. Many of them publish guest posts from marketers, agencies and experts their users trust.

I pulled these out of my list by reading each site: they're blogs run by software companies, plus a few software review sites. They sit under marketing, content, social and technology on the main list.

This page pulls the SaaS and software sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.

Only one of the 22 SaaS and software sites was dead or parked. More than half of the live sites (20 of 21) had a domain authority of 40 or more. It's one of the strongest groups on my whole list, because so many of the sites belong to large software brands.

Which SaaS blogs accept guest posts?

Twelve live SaaS and software sites from my list, with their domain authority when I checked:

  • shopify.com: DA 93
  • blog.hubspot.com: DA 91
  • wordstream.com: DA 83
  • getresponse.com: DA 82
  • semrush.com: DA 79
  • coschedule.com: DA 71
  • grasshopper.com: DA 70
  • sumo.com: DA 68
  • leadpages.net: DA 67
  • agorapulse.com: DA 66
  • mailerlite.com: DA 66
  • mailjet.com: DA 65

One of the sites is a tool's help area rather than its blog, so I've left it out of the examples. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.

Vendor blogs or software review sites?

SaaS sites on my list come in two kinds, and they want different things:

  • Software company blogs want guides that help their own users get results, with no rival product named.
  • Software review and directory sites want comparisons, roundups and buying guides.
  • Email and marketing tool blogs want strategy posts on campaigns, lists and automation.
  • Social media tool blogs want platform guides and content ideas for their users.

Agencies and consultants fit the vendor blogs if the advice serves the vendor's users. Other software companies will do better on the review and directory sites, because a vendor won't promote a competitor.

What do SaaS editors want?

Fit with the product. A software company's blog exists to attract its own future customers, so editors want posts about the problems their product solves, from people who know them well.

They also want depth. These sites already publish strong in-house content, so a guest post has to bring something the team can't: a specialist view, a real case study or original data.

Free guest post or sponsored post on a SaaS blog?

The big vendor blogs publish free posts from experts they choose, and they say no far more than yes. They almost never sell placements. Review and directory sites are more open. If you need a dependable placement for a software client, a sponsored post on a strong independent blog is the safer route.

How do you check a SaaS blog before you pitch?

  • Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
  • Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
  • Check for competitors. If your post or link mentions a product that competes with the site's own, it won't be published.
  • Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
  • Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.

My free domain authority checker gives you a quick read on a site's strength, and these guest post pitch examples show what editors say yes to. SaaS overlaps with technology and marketing, so my technology blogs that accept guest posts and marketing blogs that accept guest posts pages are the next places to look.

How should you pitch a SaaS blog?

Lead with the user's problem. "How small online shops can recover abandoned carts with three emails" works for an email tool's blog. "Why email marketing matters" doesn't.

Show you know the product. Mention a feature you use and how, so the editor sees the post will sit well next to their own content.

Keep links to neutral resources. A vendor will rarely allow a link to another software product, so point to a study, a template or your own expert guide.

My advice

Treat the big vendor blogs as a reputation play: pitch them your best expert idea and expect a slow answer. For a link you need this month, an independent marketing blog is the better bet.

Can you place a SaaS post on my blog?

Yes. Software and tools are a big part of my blog: SaaS marketing, product guides, comparisons and how small businesses choose and use software. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Posts that help business owners pick and use software well are the best fit. Guidelines are on my SaaS write for us page.

How placing a post on my blog works

  1. Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
  2. I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
  3. You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
  4. I edit, publish and send you the live URL.

Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.

If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.

Placing a SaaS post? Email [email protected] with your target URL, topic and niche, or start on my write for me page. Agencies and repeat buyers are welcome.
