ySense works by paying you for surveys, offers and small tasks, with a Daily Checklist bonus for doing at least 2 surveys or 2 offers a day, and you cash out to PayPal, Payoneer, Skrill or gift cards once you reach the minimum. The rule that delays most first payments: new accounts' cashouts can take up to 15 business days.
ySense is a get-paid-to site that's especially useful if you live outside the US, because it pays through Payoneer as well as PayPal. It's also one where the small print really matters, so it's worth knowing the rules before you start. Here's how it works, from ySense's own help centre.
How to start earning on ySense
- Verify your email address. A green banner nags you until you do.
- Complete your profile. ySense uses it to match you to relevant surveys.
- Try surveys, offers and tasks. If nothing is available, check back: new ones arrive all the time.
- Aim for the Daily Checklist to add a bonus on top of what you earn.
You never need to buy anything to earn, ySense says. In some countries or regions there may be no offers at all on a given day, which is normal rather than a fault with your account.
The Daily Checklist bonus
Complete at least 2 surveys or at least 2 offers in a day and ySense adds a bonus calculated on that day's personal survey and offer earnings. Other bonuses and referral commissions don't count. Complete it three days in a row and an extra activity bonus kicks in, but miss a day and it resets.
One honest caveat: ySense's own page is inconsistent on the size of the bonus. It says up to 8% in one place, while its table shows a 12.0% checklist bonus plus a 2.0% activity bonus, a 14.0% maximum. Check what your dashboard shows rather than relying on either figure, and don't let a missed day put you off: the checklist bonus itself still applies the next time you complete it.
How ySense pays you
| Cashout rule | What ySense says |
|---|---|
| Currency | All funds are in US dollars |
| Processing | Up to 10 business days in the pending queue |
| New accounts | May be delayed up to 15 business days (registered in the last 30 days, or a first cashout) |
| Frequency | Up to two cashouts a day |
| USA and Canada | Postal address must be verified before Payoneer, PayPal or Skrill cashouts |
| When you can cash out | The Cashout link only appears once you reach the minimum |
Payoneer and PayPal set-up
For a first Payoneer withdrawal, choose Payoneer in Cashout and pick an amount. ySense then emails you a link to connect your Payoneer account to its corporate account, with Prodege added as a funding source. After that, it says processing can take up to 3 working days.
PayPal is stricter. Your first and last name and your email address on ySense must match your PayPal account exactly, and your PayPal account must be linked to and confirmed by a bank account. If any of those don't match, you'll likely see the payment stall, so it's worth checking them before your first cashout.
Rules that get you unpaid or closed
- Giving false or misleading information when registering or to qualify for a survey.
- Speeding through surveys, or finishing well under the average time.
- Creating more than one account. Each person in a household may have their own, but only one each.
- Completing the same survey more than once.
Age matters too: ySense members must be at least 13 in the United States or at least 16 in any other country, and the rules can vary by country.
When a survey doesn't credit
Some surveys credit on a delay of up to 7 business days, and the survey should tell you if so. If credit never arrives, ySense asks for the survey provider, survey ID, credit amount, survey URL and a screenshot of the completion page. Its tip is to write down the survey ID before you click into a survey, so you have it if something goes wrong.
You may also be asked to verify your identity through Persona, using a government ID and a selfie. It usually takes a few minutes, but ySense says its team may need up to an additional 10 business days to review the result.

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Referrals
ySense pays 10% of what your referrals earn on approved surveys, offers and tasks, rising to up to 30% as you build more active referrals. Signup commissions arrive no earlier than 10 days after a referral joins, and only after they've done at least 3 actions on 3 distinct days.
My verdict on how ySense works
ySense is a solid choice if you want a survey and offer site that pays outside the US, especially through Payoneer. Fill in your profile, hit the Daily Checklist when you can, keep your PayPal or Payoneer details matching exactly, and allow up to 15 business days for your first cashout.
