Is Codashop Legit? Top-Ups, Final Sales and Fake Sites (2026)

Codashop is a real top-up and gift card site run by Coda Payments of Singapore, and it says it works directly with game publishers. The catch is in the terms: completed purchases are final and non-cancellable, with no refunds unless the terms say otherwise. Double-check your game ID, server and region before you pay.

If you play mobile games, you'll have seen Codashop mentioned in streamer videos and group chats as a quick way to add credits. It's fair to ask if it's legit before you type in a game ID and pay. I've read the Codashop US page and the terms published by its parent company, so here's what they say, in plain English.

Who runs Codashop?

The footer on the Codashop US page reads Copyright Coda Payments and links to coda.co. Coda's terms of use go further: they say the Codashop website and mobile app are services offered or managed by Coda Payments Pte. Ltd., which they call Coda Singapore, and its affiliates and subsidiaries.

So Codashop isn't a one-person reseller site. It's a consumer storefront from a payments company, which also sells tools to game publishers. That is useful context, because the site's pitch is built around the idea that it deals with publishers directly.

How a Codashop top-up works

Codashop describes it as direct top-up. Its page says it partners directly with publishers so purchases are added to your game account, and that you enter your game ID and server, then pay. It says delivery happens as soon as payment is complete, and it also offers gifting, so you can send credits to a friend as easily as topping up your own account.

  • Pick your game or gift card on the site.
  • Enter your game ID and server where asked.
  • Choose a payment method and complete payment.
  • Credits are delivered to the account you named.

The US page lists a mix of mobile games, live-streaming and social apps, and gift cards and subscriptions, such as PlayStation, Nintendo eShop, Steam and Roblox gift cards. What's offered can differ by country, so check the country selector.

What Codashop says about being authorised

Codashop's page says it has direct relationships with all publishers on its website, so any purchase is 100% authorized and legitimate. That's the company's own claim, and I can't verify each publisher agreement. What I can say is that its terms describe two kinds of purchase: buying gift codes, credits and vouchers directly from third-party publishers, and buying from Coda itself. It's sensible to buy the amount you need and avoid reselling codes.

Refunds: the part to read first

This is the catch. Coda's terms say transactions successfully made on its sites are final and non-cancellable. They say no returns will be accepted and no refunds will be issued unless the terms expressly say otherwise. If a refund is made after a dispute or error handling, the time it takes to reach you depends on the payment channel or your bank.

In practice, that means a typo in your game ID can be expensive. Check the ID, the server and the amount on the final screen, because the terms don't promise you can undo a completed top-up. If something goes wrong, contact support straight away through the official site, with your order details and a screenshot.

Payment methods and age rules

The terms list several ways to pay: prepaid mobile credit, your mobile bill, e-wallets, voucher redemptions, over-the-counter payments at participating convenience stores, credit cards and bank transfers. For bank transfers, they say the banking details are collected directly by the payment channels and aren't stored or processed by Coda. Which methods you see will depend on your country.

On age, the terms say the services aren't directed to anyone under the age of majority in their country. Minors need a parent's consent, and the parent is deemed responsible for their purchases. The terms also say purchases can't be cancelled just because a parent didn't give permission, which is worth knowing if a child uses your card.

Account limits and suspensions

The terms say Coda may suspend or end access if it suspects fraud, and may set limits on the type and amount of transactions you can make. So don't be surprised if an unusual order is delayed or blocked. Also check the game's own rules about buying credits, because publishers set what's allowed in their games.

Fake Codashop sites and scams

Top-up sites attract phishing. A lookalike page might copy the logo, ask you to log in to your game with your password, or push a deep discount through a social media ad. Here's how I'd stay safe:

  • Type the address yourself and make sure you're on the official Codashop domain for your country.
  • Never share your game password or account recovery codes. Top-ups only need an ID and server.
  • Be cautious of anyone selling cheap codes in direct messages or asking you to pay outside the site.
  • Pay inside the official checkout only, never by gift card or transfer to a person.

Copycat shops often borrow glowing testimonials, so my guide to spotting a fake product review is worth a read. And if you want to compare sellers first, I've listed review sites for shoppers that are worth checking.

My verdict on Codashop

It looks legit: it's run by a named company with published terms and a direct-with-publishers model, and I wouldn't call it a scam. But its terms are strict on refunds, so accuracy matters more than speed. Check your ID, server and amount, buy from the official domain and keep your game password to yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Codashop?

Coda's terms say the Codashop website and app are services offered or managed by Coda Payments Pte. Ltd. (Coda Singapore) and its affiliates. The Codashop footer reads Copyright Coda Payments.

Can I get a refund on Codashop?

Coda's terms say successfully completed transactions are final and non-cancellable, with no refunds unless expressly specified in the terms, so check your details before paying.

Does Codashop need my game password?

Its page says you enter your game ID and server. A top-up site that asks for your password is a warning sign, so don't share it.

Can kids use Codashop?

The terms say the services aren't directed to anyone under the age of majority in their country, and that minors need a parent's consent. Purchases can't be cancelled because a parent didn't permit them.

What payment methods does Codashop accept?

The terms list mobile credit, mobile bills, e-wallets, vouchers, convenience stores, credit cards and bank transfers. The options you see depend on your country.
