Is JustFly Legit? Booking Agent Rules, Refunds and Fees (2026)

JustFly is a real online flight booking site run by JustFly, Inc., according to its privacy policy, and it sells tickets as a travel agent rather than an airline. The key detail is that the US Department of Transportation says its 24-hour cancellation rule doesn't cover tickets booked through travel agents. Read JustFly's own cancellation terms before you pay.

JustFly pops up near the top of flight searches, often with a fare lower than the airline's own. That's a good reason to ask who you're buying from. I looked at what JustFly's own pages say about itself, and then at what the US Department of Transportation says about booking through a travel agent, because that's where most flight disputes are decided.

Who is behind JustFly and how the site works

JustFly's privacy policy names the legal entity as JustFly, Inc., doing business as JustFly.com. It also refers to JustFly Group Companies and affiliates without naming them. Its About page describes JustFly as a travel booking platform built by a team of technology specialists with extensive travel-industry experience, working with major airlines and offering phone support from travel agents.

One oddity worth knowing: the pages I read list different locations. The About page gives an address in Spokane, Washington, while the privacy policy lists a mailing address in Canada. That isn't necessarily a problem, since companies use different addresses for different purposes, but it's another reason to keep your booking confirmation and note which company is on your card statement.

JustFly is a booking agent, not an airline

Think of JustFly as the shop and the airline as the supplier. You buy through JustFly, and the airline flies you. That matters because the person who takes your money isn't the person who runs the flight, so changes, cancellations and refunds can involve both.

JustFly's support page offers messaging all day, a phone line, a toll-free line, WhatsApp and text. It also says online check-in opens 24 hours before your flight on the airline's website, not JustFly's. So for check-in and boarding you deal with the airline, and for changes to the booking you start with the agent.

What the Department of Transportation says about agents

The DOT's refund page is worth reading before you book through any online agent. It makes these points:

  • A consumer is entitled to a refund if the airline cancelled a flight, whatever the reason, or made a significant change.
  • A significant change includes a departure or arrival 3 or more hours different on domestic itineraries, and 6 hours or more for international ones, unless you choose to travel on the changed flight.
  • The 24-hour rule applies to tickets bought at least seven days before departure, but DOT says it doesn't cover tickets booked through travel agents or online travel agencies. You contact the agency first for those refunds.
  • A ticket agent that is the merchant of record, the name on your card statement, must issue refunds when an airline cancels or significantly changes a flight.
  • Agents aren't responsible for refunding optional service fees or baggage fees. DOT says to request those from the airline.

The takeaway is that a flight bought from an agent doesn't automatically come with the airline's free cancellation window. If you might change your plans, that single rule could cost you.

JustFly cancellation, change and fee terms: what I couldn't confirm

I wasn't able to read JustFly's own terms of use. The page returned only navigation when I tried, so I can't tell you its service fees, how it handles cancellations or what it charges for changes. I'd rather leave that gap than guess. Fees and cancellation rules decide whether a cheap fare stays cheap.

Before you pay, I'd do this:

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

  1. Open the terms and the cancellation or change policy from the booking page and read them in full.
  2. Look for any service fee line on the final payment screen and compare the total with the airline's own price.
  3. Check whether the fare is changeable or refundable at all.
  4. Note the company name that will appear on your card statement.
  5. Take a screenshot of the terms and the itinerary before paying.

Getting help with a JustFly booking

JustFly's support page lists several routes. Use the phone numbers and messaging options on the site itself, reached by typing the address yourself, rather than a number from an advert or a search result. Fake support lines are common for travel brands. If you've booked through an agent and the airline cancels, DOT's guidance is that the agent, as merchant of record, must issue the refund. If you can't get an answer, your card issuer is the next place to ask, and I can't advise on your rights in your situation.

Planning a trip around a booking agent

If you travel for work, a cheap fare that can't be changed is a poor trade. If you're planning a whole trip, my guide to planning a first ski holiday shows how many moving parts a booking has, and choosing a travel backpack for work trips is worth a look if you travel light.

Spotting a fake JustFly site or caller

  • Type the address yourself rather than clicking an ad.
  • Ignore calls or messages saying your booking has a problem and asking for card details.
  • Never pay for a change by gift card or bank transfer to a person.
  • Check the sender's address and don't use links in unexpected emails.

My verdict on whether JustFly is legit

JustFly is a real booking site with a named legal entity and published contact routes. The catch is the agent model: the airline's 24-hour cancellation rule doesn't apply, and I couldn't confirm JustFly's own fees or refund terms. Compare the final price with the airline's own, read the terms before you pay and keep your confirmation handy.

Frequently asked questions

Is JustFly legit?

It's a real booking agent. Its privacy policy names JustFly, Inc. as the legal entity. Read its own cancellation and fee terms before you pay.

Is JustFly an airline?

No. It sells tickets on airlines, so the airline flies you while JustFly handles the booking and is your first contact for changes.

Can I cancel a JustFly flight within 24 hours?

The Department of Transportation says its 24-hour rule doesn't cover tickets booked through travel agents or online travel agencies, so check JustFly's own policy.

Who refunds me if the airline cancels my flight?

DOT says an agent that is the merchant of record, the name on your card statement, must issue the refund when an airline cancels or significantly changes a flight.

Does JustFly charge service fees?

I couldn't read JustFly's terms to confirm. Check the final payment screen and compare the total with the airline's own price.
