To delete your Kick account, Kick's help says to request it through the Support Team using the email link in its help article, because it doesn't describe a delete button. Deletion permanently removes your profile, following list, messages, clips and sign-up history, so cancel active sign-ups and save clips first.
I'll start with the bit that surprises people: as far as Kick's help centre goes, there isn't a delete button waiting for you in your settings. If you've been clicking around your profile looking for one, that's why you can't find it. Kick's help says you request deletion through its Support Team instead.
That's a slower route than most apps, so it helps to go in prepared. Below I'll cover what Kick says is removed, what to sort out first (especially if you stream), how to word your request, and what you can do in the meantime if you just want a quieter profile.
How to ask Kick to delete your account
Kick's help article on managing your viewer profile says that if you no longer want a Kick account, you can request deletion by contacting the Support Team through the email link in that article. It doesn't spell out step-by-step instructions, and it doesn't give a timeline for how long deletion takes, so I won't invent one.
When you write, Kick's help suggests including three things:
- Your Kick username.
- A description of what you want to do, so in this case a clear request to delete the account.
- Any settings you can't find, which is a polite way to mention you looked for a delete option first.
I'd add one more habit from running a business: write from the email address that's linked to the account, and keep a copy of what you sent. If you ever need to chase, you'll have the date and wording to hand. I'm not going to print a support address here, because the right one is the one on Kick's own help page and it can change.
What Kick says deleting your account removes
This is the part to read twice. Kick's help says that deletion permanently removes:
| What goes | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Your profile and personal information | Your channel name, bio and images are gone for good |
| Your following list | You lose the list of channels you follow |
| Your messages, clips and other content | Anything you made or sent on Kick disappears |
| Your channel sign-up history | Records of what you signed up to on channels are removed |
Permanent means permanent, so treat the request as a one-way door.
What to do before you delete your Kick account
Kick's help gives a short checklist, and every item on that list deserves doing first:
- Cancel anything active that you've signed up to on channels, so it doesn't carry on after the account has gone.
- Download any clips or other content you want to keep.
- If you're a streamer with a payout balance, withdraw it first.
If you've been streaming for a business, I'd go a step further. Save your channel name, links and any stream titles you want to reuse, and tell regular viewers where to find you next. Update bio links on other platforms too, so nobody lands on a dead channel.
Kick's privacy policy and your personal information
Separate from the help article, Kick's privacy policy says you can contact the company about deleting your personal information. It adds that Kick may need to verify your identity before it responds, and that licences you've granted over content you posted may stop some public information being fully deleted. In plain terms, expect a check that it's really you, and don't assume every trace of public content vanishes instantly.
This isn't legal advice. If you're in a country with specific data rights and want to use them, read Kick's policy in full and, if needed, ask a qualified adviser.

Can't log in to delete your Kick account?
If you've lost your email, been locked out or think the account was hacked, Kick has a separate account recovery article covering lost email, hacked accounts and getting back in. It points you to an account recovery team rather than the deletion route, so sort recovery first, then request deletion once you're back in or confirmed as the owner.
For a hacked account in particular, I'd change your email and password everywhere you reused them before doing anything else. Kick recommends turning on two-factor authentication to protect your account, and that matters even more if you plan to keep the account for a few more days while you wind things down.
If you only want a quieter Kick profile
Not ready to wipe everything? Kick's help describes a few lighter changes you can make on your own:
- Change your display name, which is what other users see in chat or on a channel. Kick says you can do this no more than once every 60 days, from your avatar, then account settings, then the profile section.
- Change your channel name (username), which Kick's profile guide says you can do only once every 60 days, and only with two-factor authentication switched on.
- Update your bio and avatar so your page doesn't carry details you'd rather not share. Kick advises against using your real name unless you're comfortable with it being public.
These changes don't remove your account, but they might be all you need if the worry is about what strangers can see.
Closing other accounts while you're tidying up
If you're having a general clear-out, the steps for other apps are in my guides on deleting your Discord account and deleting your Snapchat account. Each platform has its own rules, so read them separately instead of assuming they work the same way.
