Small business blogs that accept guest posts are one of the most useful niches for business services, and almost all of them are still live. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 16 sites are small business blogs: 14 were live and 8 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include smallbusiness.co.uk, smallbusinessbc.ca and smallbusinessbonfire.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
Small business owners are the readers almost every service wants to reach: accountants, software companies, banks, marketers, insurers and consultants. Sites written for them are some of the most pitched on the web.
I pulled these out of the wider business section of my list by reading each site's name and focus. They're sites written for owners of small firms, including national sites for the UK, Canada and Australia.
This page pulls the small business sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many small business blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Small business sites on my list | 16 |
| Live when checked | 14 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 8 |
| Dead or parked | 2 |
2 of the 16 small business sites were dead or parked, so 14 are worth a look. More than half of the live sites (8 of 14) had a domain authority of 40 or more. The country matters here: several of the strongest sites write for one country's owners.

Which small business readers do they serve?
Small business sites aim at different owners:
- National small business sites want posts on rules, support and running a firm in one country.
- Practical how-to blogs want guides on marketing, money management, hiring and tools.
- Owner community sites want stories and advice from people running small firms.
- Regional support organisations want local posts and events for their area.
Software, finance and business services fit the how-to blogs best. National sites want advice that's right for their country, so a UK site needs UK detail.
What do small business editors want?
Usefulness. Small business owners are short on time, so editors want posts that solve one problem quickly: a checklist, a template, a clear decision. Long theory pieces don't get read.
They also want accuracy for the reader's country. Tax, employment and company rules differ between the UK, the US, Canada and Australia, and an editor will reject advice that's wrong for their readers.
Free guest post or sponsored post on a small business blog?
Many small business blogs publish free posts from experts, especially practical how-to pieces. Support organisations can be slower and pickier. Sponsored posts are the predictable route for agencies placing business clients.
How do you check a small business blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
- Check the country. A Canadian small business site won't want advice that only works in the US.
- Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.
My free domain authority checker gives you a quick read on a site's strength, and these guest post pitch examples show what editors say yes to. Small business overlaps with general business and marketing, so my business blogs that accept guest posts and marketing blogs that accept guest posts pages are the next places to look.
How should you pitch a small business blog?
Lead with the owner's problem. "How a one-person firm can chase late invoices without losing the client" is a pitch. "Tips for small businesses" isn't.
Say what you've run or fixed yourself. Owners trust advice from people who've done it, and editors know it.
Keep the link useful. A link to a template, calculator or guide that solves the problem in the post is easy to approve.
My advice
Pick one country and one problem per pitch. It's the single change that turns most small business pitches from ignored to accepted.
Can you place a small business post on my blog?
Yes. Small business owners are my core readers, and posts on marketing, growth, tools and AI for small firms fit well. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Practical posts with a clear takeaway are the best fit. Guidelines are on my small business write for us page.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.
