Mom blogs that accept guest posts are one of the biggest groups on my list, though about a quarter have gone dark. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 53 sites are mom and mum blogs: 40 were live and 24 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include cafemom.com, scarymommy.com and workingmother.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
Mom blogs have some of the most engaged readers online. Mothers trust other mothers, and brands selling anything from baby products to family travel, food, education and finance want to be part of that conversation.
I pulled these out of my list by reading each site's name and focus: mom, mum and mama blogs from the family, entertainment, business and lifestyle sections, including mum blogs from the UK, Australia and Nigeria.
This page pulls the mom and mum sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many mom blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Mom and mum blogs on my list | 53 |
| Live when checked | 40 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 24 |
| Dead or parked | 13 |
13 of the 53 mom and mum sites were dead or parked, so 40 are worth a look. More than half of the live sites (24 of 40) had a domain authority of 40 or more. Personal mom blogs come and go fastest, so always check a site is still posting.

Big networks, working mums or personal blogs?
Mom blogs write for different mothers:
- Big parenting networks want sharp, relatable essays and practical guides.
- Working mum sites want posts on careers, business, time and childcare.
- Local mom blogs want family events, places and services in their city.
- Personal blogs want honest stories and product reviews that fit the family.
Family products, travel and food brands fit the networks and personal blogs. Business and career services suit the working mum sites.
What do mom blog editors want?
Honesty. Mom blog editors want writing that sounds like a real mother, warts and all. A polished brand message dressed up as a parenting tip is easy for them to spot.
They also want relevance to their readers' stage of life. A site for new mums and a site for mothers of teenagers need different posts.
Free guest post or sponsored post on a mom blog?
Many mom blogs publish free guest essays from mothers, and many run sponsored posts and reviews for brands. Sponsored work is common here, so ask for their media kit and disclosure rules.
How do you check a mom blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
- Check the children's age group. A blog about babies won't want a post about choosing a university.
- Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.
My free domain authority checker gives you a quick read on a site's strength, and these guest post pitch examples show what editors say yes to. Mom blogs overlap with parenting and lifestyle, so my parenting blogs that accept guest posts and lifestyle blogs that accept guest posts pages are good next stops.
How should you pitch a mom blog?
Lead with a moment mothers know. "The morning routine that finally got us out of the door on time" is a pitch. "Parenting tips" isn't.
Say who you are as a mum: the ages of your children and what you do, in a line.
Keep the link natural. A link to a product you use, a guide or a resource that fits the story is easy to approve.
My advice
Write like a mum talking to a friend, not a brand talking to a customer. It's the only voice that works on these blogs, and it's why they convert so well when it's right.
Can you place a mom post on my blog?
Yes, when it's about business: running a business as a mother, marketing a family brand or working from home. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Parenting essays suit the sites above. Guidelines are on my parenting write for us page.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.
