Gaming blogs that accept guest posts have the highest authority of any niche on my list. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 42 sites are tagged gaming: 34 were live and 27 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include denofgeek.com, toucharcade.com and gamasutra.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
Gaming is a huge market, and gamers read a lot: news, reviews, guides, tips and endless lists. That makes gaming sites some of the busiest on the web, and some of the strongest. Many grew out of fan communities and still accept writing from players who know their stuff.
Game studios, gaming hardware brands, streaming tools, board game publishers and the businesses around them all want to reach gamers. The sites are open to them, but gamers are quick to call out anything that feels like marketing.
This page pulls the gaming sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many gaming blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Gaming sites on my list | 42 |
| Live when checked | 34 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 27 |
| Dead or parked | 8 |
Fewer than one in five gaming sites was dead or parked, and nearly eight in ten of the live sites had a domain authority of 40 or more. That's the highest share of any category on my list.

Video games, mobile, board games or game development?
Gaming sites cover very different corners of the hobby:
- Console and PC sites want news, reviews, guides and opinion on big releases.
- Mobile gaming sites want reviews and tips for phone and tablet games.
- Tabletop sites want board game reviews, role-playing advice and game master tips.
- Game development sites want posts on design, programming and the business of making games.
Hardware and accessories fit best on console and PC sites. Developer tools and services belong on the game development sites, where a technical or business angle is welcome.
What do gaming editors want?
Gamers. Editors want writers who play the games they write about and know the community's language. A guide needs to be correct down to the button press, and a review needs an opinion backed by hours of play.
They also want speed and freshness. Gaming news moves fast, so evergreen posts like guides, lists and deep dives are a better fit for guest writers than news. Pick a game or topic that readers are searching for now, and say why in your pitch.
Free guest post or sponsored post on a gaming blog?
The biggest gaming sites hire their own writers and rarely take outside posts, so treat them as long shots. Smaller gaming blogs and tabletop sites are more open to free contributions. Sponsored posts are faster and more predictable, which suits brands launching a product on a fixed date.
How do you check a gaming blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
- Check the community. Comments, a Discord or forum and named writers show a gaming site real players read.
- Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.
There's more in how to check backlink quality and my guide to high DA guest posting sites. Gaming often overlaps with tech, so my technology blogs that accept guest posts and web design blogs that accept guest posts pages are useful places to widen your search.
How should you pitch a gaming blog?
Name the game and the reader in the title. "Ten settings every new Elden Ring player should change first" is a pitch. "A gaming article" is not. Add two backup ideas, a line on what you play and a link to anything you've written before.
If you represent a brand, say so up front and keep the product secondary. Gamers will share a post that helps them play better, and they'll mock one that reads like a press release.
Check the platform before you write. A site that covers only mobile games, or only tabletop, won't take a console guide however good it is, and readers notice when a writer mixes up versions or platforms. Name the platform in your title so the editor can see the fit at a glance.
Can you place a gaming post on my blog?
Sometimes, when it has a business angle: marketing a game or studio, streaming as a business, or community building for gaming brands. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Reviews and game guides suit the sites above better. Guidelines are on my gaming page.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent. I invoice by PayPal, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
