Construction blogs that accept guest posts are a small trade niche, and nearly every one on my list is still live. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 15 sites are construction, building and architecture blogs: 14 were live and 6 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include e-architect.co.uk, bdcnetwork.com and finehomebuilding.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
Construction is a huge industry with a small number of good websites. Builders, contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers and construction software firms all want links from them, and there aren't many to go round.
I pulled these out of my list by reading each site's name and focus. They're spread across home and garden, career, law and science on the main list, which is why they're hard to find in one place.
This page pulls the construction and architecture sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many construction blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Construction and architecture sites on my list | 15 |
| Live when checked | 14 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 6 |
| Dead or parked | 1 |
Only one of the 15 construction and architecture sites was dead or parked. Fewer than half of the live sites (6 of 14) had a domain authority of 40 or more. The pool mixes trade publications, professional bodies and small firm blogs, and the trade titles are the strongest.
Which construction blogs accept guest posts?
Twelve live construction and architecture sites from my list, with their domain authority when I checked:
- e-architect.co.uk: DA 66
- bdcnetwork.com: DA 61
- finehomebuilding.com: DA 60
- electrical-engineering-portal.com: DA 53
- concrete.org: DA 52
- greenbuildermedia.com: DA 47
- constructionlawva.com: DA 35
- civilengineerblog.com: DA 33
- ambroofing.com.au: DA 30
- architecturesideas.com: DA 28
- thearchitectsdiary.com: DA 26
- greenbuildinginsider.com: DA 23
I've included engineering and building law sites because they write for the same readers. The list is small, so it holds nearly every live site in the group. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.
Trade press, architecture or the firm's own blog?
Construction sites write for different readers:
- Trade publications want posts on projects, methods, materials and industry change.
- Architecture sites want project features, design trends and practice news.
- Engineering and technical sites want detailed, accurate explainers.
- Builder and roofer blogs want homeowner advice and local posts.
Construction software, materials and equipment suppliers fit the trade and technical sites. Architects belong on the architecture sites, with project photos.
What do construction editors want?
Technical accuracy. Construction editors know the trade, so they want correct terms, building rules for the right country and claims you can back up. A wrong detail ends the conversation.
They also want projects. A real job, with the problem, the method and the result, is what trade readers read. A generic post about the benefits of a material isn't.
Free guest post or sponsored post on a construction blog?
Trade titles and professional bodies often publish free expert posts and project features, but slowly. Firm blogs are mixed. Sponsored posts are the faster route for suppliers and software firms on a schedule.
How do you check a construction blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
- Check the country and the trade. Building rules differ by country, and a roofing site won't want a post about steel frames.
- Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.
My free domain authority checker gives you a quick read on a site's strength, and these guest post pitch examples show what editors say yes to. Construction overlaps with real estate and home improvement, so my real estate blogs that accept guest posts and home and garden blogs that accept guest posts pages are worth a look.
How should you pitch a construction blog?
Lead with the project or the problem. "How we cut rework on small extension jobs with a pre-start checklist" is a pitch. "The future of construction" isn't.
Say who you are in the trade: your role, your firm's work and where you build.
Offer photos and drawings where you can. They make a trade editor's job easier and the post far better.
My advice
Write as the person on site, not the marketing team. Construction editors trust the voice of experience, and it's the fastest way through their inbox.
Can you place a construction post on my blog?
Yes, when it's about marketing or running a construction firm: winning work, quoting, reviews, local SEO and the software builders use. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Technical and design posts suit the sites above. Guidelines are on my construction write for us page.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.
