Dental blogs that accept guest posts are a small niche, and every one on my list was still live. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 22 sites are tagged dental: 22 were live and 9 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include progressinorthodontics.springeropen.com, dentistryiq.com and askthedentist.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
Dentistry is a local, high-value business, and dental practices compete hard for patients in search. Practices, orthodontists, implant clinics, dental labs, suppliers and the software companies that serve them all want links from sites about teeth, and there aren't many of those sites to go round.
That scarcity makes the good dental sites choosy. Some write for dentists and practice owners, some for patients, and a few for researchers and students. Each has its own standards, and all of them care about getting health information right.
This page pulls the dental sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many dental blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Dental sites on my list | 22 |
| Live when checked | 22 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 9 |
| Dead or parked | 0 |
Not one dental site was dead or parked when I checked. The catch is authority: fewer than half of the live sites had a domain authority of 40 or more, because many are small clinic and patient advice blogs.
Which dental blogs accept guest posts?
Twelve live dental sites from my list, with their domain authority when I checked:
- progressinorthodontics.springeropen.com: DA 74
- dentistryiq.com: DA 59
- askthedentist.com: DA 57
- adea.org: DA 55
- dentaleconomics.com: DA 52
- romd.dental-tribune.com: DA 52
- health2wellnessblog.com: DA 49
- thedentalcheck.com: DA 34
- dentalguideaustralia.com: DA 30
- vistadental.com: DA 30
- dentalsreview.com: DA 26
- bestoralhygiene.com: DA 22
The category also includes a large general health publisher's help pages and a few sites that only touch on teeth, which I've left out of the examples. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.
Patients, practice owners or the profession?
Dental sites write for three very different readers:
- Patient advice sites want plain guides to treatments, oral hygiene, anxiety and choosing a dentist.
- Practice management sites want posts on marketing, staffing, software and running a profitable practice.
- Professional and research sites want clinical updates, education news and research summaries.
- Clinic blogs want local, patient-friendly posts, and sometimes accept them from related businesses.
Dental software, marketing services and suppliers fit best on the practice management sites. Oral care products and clinics suit the patient advice sites, as long as the post informs rather than sells.
What do dental editors want?
Accuracy above all. Dental editors want health claims that are correct, sourced and written in plain words. Don't promise results, don't give advice that should come from a patient's own dentist, and say which country you mean when you talk about treatment options or rules.
They also want credibility. A dentist, hygienist, practice manager or someone who works closely with practices will get a hearing. A generic post about "five tips for whiter teeth" that could be on any site won't.
Free guest post or sponsored post on a dental blog?
Professional and research sites usually only publish people from the profession, and they can be slow. Patient advice and clinic blogs are more open to free posts that help their readers. Sponsored posts are faster and more predictable, which suits agencies placing posts for dental clients.
How do you check a dental blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
- Check who the readers are. A site for dentists and a site for nervous patients need completely different posts.
- Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.
There's more in how to check backlink quality and my guide to high DA guest posting sites. Dental topics often overlap with health and running a business, so my health blogs that accept guest posts and business blogs that accept guest posts pages are useful places to widen your search.
How should you pitch a dental blog?
Lead with the reader's question. "How dental practices can fill last-minute cancellations" is a pitch for practice owners. "What to expect at your first root canal appointment" is a pitch for patients. "A dental article" is neither. Say who is writing it and why they know the subject.
Keep the link relevant and modest. One link to a detailed guide, a practice's treatment page or a useful tool is easy for an editor to approve. Several keyword links like "best dentist near me" will get the pitch deleted.
Because the pool is small, look after the editors you work with. Reply quickly to edits, send clean copy and don't pitch the same idea to every site at once. In a niche this size, editors talk to each other.
Can you place a dental post on my blog?
Yes, when it's about marketing or running a practice: getting new patients, reviews, social media for dentists, or the software practices use. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Treatment guides and oral health advice suit the sites above better. Guidelines are on my dental page.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent. I invoice by PayPal, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.
