The Weekly Content Batching Template

Stop letting content eat your week. Two focused blocks. Seven days covered.

Content creation is not supposed to take all week. It takes all week because most people do it reactively, writing one post at a time, every day, with no system underneath. This template gives you two dedicated batching blocks per week so you plan once, create once, and show up consistently without the daily scramble.

What is inside
  • Block 1 (Monday, 60 minutes): The Weekly Content Plan
  • Block 2 (Tuesday or Wednesday, 90 to 120 minutes): The Write Everything Session
  • Scheduling and Publish Queue
  • Repurpose Tracker
  • Monthly Batching Review
Section 1

Block 1 (Monday, 60 minutes): The Weekly Content Plan

Before you write a single word, spend one focused hour deciding what this week is about. No writing in this block. Planning only.

1.1

Weekly Theme and Goal

Week of: [DATE]

This week I am talking about: [ONE TOPIC, e.g. email marketing, AI tools, lead generation]

The business goal behind this content: [e.g. drive sign-ups for [OFFER], position me as the go-to person on [TOPIC], warm the list before [LAUNCH DATE]]

The one thing I want people to walk away thinking or doing: [SPECIFIC ACTION OR BELIEF SHIFT]

What I will NOT cover this week (keeps focus): [RELATED TOPICS TO PARK FOR LATER]
1.2

Content Slot Map

Map your slots before you write anything.

Slot 1 - [PLATFORM, e.g. LinkedIn]: [POST TYPE, e.g. list, story, opinion, case study]
Slot 2 - [PLATFORM, e.g. Instagram]: [POST TYPE]
Slot 3 - [PLATFORM, e.g. Email newsletter]: [FORMAT, e.g. one tip, story + CTA, Q&A]
Slot 4 - [PLATFORM, e.g. Facebook]: [POST TYPE]
Slot 5 (optional) - [PLATFORM]: [POST TYPE]

Total pieces this week: [NUMBER]
Time budget for Block 2: [NUMBER] minutes

Note: Only include slots you can realistically fill. An empty slot beats a weak post.
1.3

Source Material Grab

Before Block 2, gather your raw material so you are not staring at a blank screen.

Client win or result I can reference (keep confidential if needed): [RESULT OR OUTCOME]
Question I got asked this week (by a client, prospect, or follower): [QUESTION]
Something I learned, tested, or noticed: [OBSERVATION]
Content I want to repurpose from a previous piece: [LINK OR FILE NAME]
External reference worth reacting to (article, stat, trend): [SOURCE]

Pick two or three of the above. That is your content fuel for Block 2.
Section 2

Block 2 (Tuesday or Wednesday, 90 to 120 minutes): The Write Everything Session

This is the only time this week you open a blank document to write content. No context-switching. No one post here, one post tomorrow. All slots written in one sitting.

2.1

Session Setup Checklist

Before you start writing, set the conditions:

Phone: [ON DO NOT DISTURB / IN ANOTHER ROOM]
Notifications: [OFF on laptop]
Timer set for: [90 or 120 minutes]
Content plan from Block 1: [OPEN IN FRONT OF ME]
Source material: [GATHERED AND READY]

Order I will write in (fastest to slowest, or highest priority first):
1. [SLOT]
2. [SLOT]
3. [SLOT]
4. [SLOT]
5. [SLOT]

If I run out of time, the slot I will cut is: [LOWEST PRIORITY SLOT]
2.2

Per-Piece Writing Template

Use one copy of this for each content slot.

Option B: [HOOK]
Option C: [HOOK]

Any piece I am not confident in: [YES / NO]
If yes, which one and why: [PIECE + REASON]
What I will do with it: [REWRITE NOW / CUT IT / SWAP FOR SOMETHING SIMPLER]

If not, what is missing: [IMAGE / LINK / FINAL EDIT]
