Saudi Arabia is on Meta's country list for Facebook Content Monetization and Arabic is a supported language, but the programme is invite-only, so you need an invitation before posts earn. There is no published rate, and what you earn in riyals depends on qualified views and watch time.
For once the country list is on your side. Saudi Arabia is among the places where Meta says Facebook Content Monetization is available, and Arabic, the official language, is supported. The questions left are about invitations, content rules and how the money arrives. Here's what Meta documents.
Saudi Arabia is listed, and Arabic is supported
Meta's availability page names Saudi Arabia among the countries and territories for Facebook Content Monetization. It also lists the languages in which content can earn, and Arabic is one. Arabic is the official language under Saudi Arabia's Basic Law, so Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam creators posting in their first language start on firm ground. English is supported too, which helps if you post for an expatriate or international audience.
That's rarer than it sounds. Plenty of creators elsewhere are on the country list but post in a language the list leaves out. A Saudi Page in Arabic or English has no such problem.
What the programme pays on
Facebook Content Monetization replaced the older in-stream ads, Ads on Reels and the Performance Bonus Program, which ended on August 31, 2025. It rewards the performance of eligible public reels, photos, stories and text posts. Meta says the amount depends on factors it decides, including qualified views and watch time, and that it can change. There is no published rate, for Saudi Arabia or anywhere.
A reel needs to be at least 10 seconds long and a story at least 5 seconds. If watch time is under 5 seconds, the piece doesn't qualify. Boosted posts, deleted posts and anything with ads switched off are excluded, as is content crossposted from a Page you don't manage.
Still invite-only, so how do you get in?
The programme is invite-only. Meta sends invitations through the Facebook app, email, Meta Business Suite and the Professional dashboard. If you haven't had one, you can submit Meta's interest form, though Meta says it isn't an application and doesn't guarantee an invitation. Approved agency partners can also bring creators in through the Creator Fast Track.
A reminder for anyone in Saudi Arabia who gets approached in a private message: an offer to 'activate' your Page for a fee isn't from Meta.
Riyals, banks and what I couldn't confirm
The Saudi riyal, code SAR, is the currency of Saudi Arabia. Meta doesn't publish payout methods, thresholds or tax details for individual countries on the pages I could read, so I can't give you those. Once you're onboarded, your payout settings show what Meta offers for your account, and your bank can explain what it charges to receive and convert foreign money. For anything about tax or local rules on earning online, take advice from a qualified local adviser.
Saudi Arabia at a glance
| Route | Available in Saudi Arabia? | Source checked |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Content Monetization | Yes, country listed; invite-only | Meta country and language availability page |
| Arabic and English content | Both supported | Meta language list |
| Facebook Subscriptions | No, not among the 37 countries (the United Arab Emirates is) | Meta for Creators Subscriptions page |
| Facebook Stars | No public country list; check your dashboard | Meta for Creators Stars page |
| Brand partnerships | Meta tools for Pages and Pro Mode profiles | Meta for Creators brand tools page |
The Subscriptions row surprises people, because the United Arab Emirates is on that list and Saudi Arabia isn't. Outside the 37 countries, Meta says Subscriptions are invite-only. Making Saudi content that Meta can pay on
- Lead with the hook in the first seconds so viewers pass the point at which a view stops counting.
- Use your own footage and voice, since Meta excludes content where a copyright holder wins a claim.
- Avoid mixing languages in a single reel where you can, because mixed-language content may not be eligible.
- Post across formats, because photos, stories and text posts can earn alongside reels.
- Keep a record of your views and earnings, so you can work out your own figure per thousand views.
You can see the numbers worth tracking in my Facebook Reels performance dashboard guide. And if you also publish longer videos, what YouTube pays in Saudi Arabia sets out that platform's route.
Beyond Content Monetization
Meta's own creator hub lists several earning routes side by side: Content Monetization, earning from brands, earning from affiliates, Subscriptions, Stars and the Creator Fast Track. For a Saudi Page, brand work is the route that doesn't need an invitation. Brands can find creators through Meta's brand collaboration tools, and a Page or a profile in Pro Mode is needed, along with following the branded content and partner monetisation rules. Read those rules before you accept any paid post so you label it correctly.
If the invitation hasn't arrived
Waiting is normal, and it says nothing about your talent. Saudi Arabia has a census population of about 35 million, and Riyadh is the capital and largest city, so local brands have a big audience to reach. Pitch them directly, and keep building the Page in the meantime. For another listed country compared in detail, see the Tanzania guide.
