Germany is one of the eight countries where TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays for views, but TikTok publishes no fixed amount per 1,000 views: your rate, shown as RPM in your Creator Rewards dashboard, depends on qualified views, watch time, content quality and the commercial value of your audience. Rewards are paid out in euros or another currency depending on the bank or PayPal account you add.
If you're a creator in Germany, you're in a lucky position. Most of the countries people ask me about get no per-view pay from TikTok at all. Germany does. That makes the question more interesting, because now it's about how the money is worked out and how to earn more of it, not whether it exists.
Germany is on the Creator Rewards list
TikTok's Creator Academy names Germany among the eight countries where the Creator Rewards Program is open, alongside the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. To join from Germany, you need to be based there with an account registered in Germany, and meet these conditions:
- A Personal Account. Business Accounts and political or government accounts don't qualify.
- Age 18 or over.
- At least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
- An account in good standing with TikTok's Community Guidelines.
You apply through TikTok Studio, under Creator Rewards Program, and TikTok says you'll hear back within three days.
Which German videos earn rewards
Not every video counts. TikTok says an eligible video must be original, longer than 1 minute and reach at least 1,000 views on the For You feed. Duets, Stitches, Photo Mode posts, ads and paid promotions are excluded, and TikTok recommends 1080p or higher. That rules out the very short clips many creators started with, so if you're used to quick trend clips, you'll need a longer format to earn.
How a qualified view is counted in Germany
This is where Germany's place on the list helps twice. TikTok says qualified views must come from countries where the programme runs, and Germany is one of them. So your German-speaking audience counts. A view qualifies when someone watches for at least five seconds, or at least 30 seconds for views from search. Repeat views from one account count once, and views where someone taps Not interested, or that are paid or fraudulent, don't count.
Views from Austria and Switzerland, two big German-speaking audiences, aren't on TikTok's list of qualifying countries, so a creator whose audience leans that way will see fewer qualified views than their total view count suggests.
What sets your rate per 1,000 views
TikTok doesn't publish a euro figure per 1,000 views, and I'm not going to invent one. Your total reward is the Standard Reward plus any Additional Reward, and TikTok's guides point to these drivers:
- Audience commercial value. TikTok says advertisers weigh purchasing power and buying intent, and older audiences often have stronger buying power.
- Language and local relevance. TikTok notes that content in a natural local language can lift engagement and results in certain markets, which favours German-language videos made for German viewers.
- Quality. Additional Reward goes to videos that are well crafted, spark conversation and show real expertise in a niche.
- Watch time and originality, which run through every part of the programme.
To see your own rate, open the Creator Rewards dashboard. It shows RPM per video, plus an age breakdown, so you can compare two videos with similar views and see why one earned more. Look at patterns over weeks rather than a single video.
Getting paid in euros
The euro is Germany's currency, and TikTok's Rewards Policy for the EEA, Switzerland and the UK covers German creators. It says you must be at least 18, rewards go to a supported payment account such as a bank account or PayPal account, minimum and maximum payment limits and transaction fees may apply, and rewards are given inclusive of tax where applicable. TikTok's Creator Academy adds that withdrawals are typically processed within 72 hours, although banks may hold funds longer.
You're responsible for any taxes on your rewards, and TikTok says it can't give personal tax advice. Speak to a German Steuerberater about how to declare creator income.

More ways to earn on TikTok in Germany
TikTok Shop
Germany is listed in the TikTok Shop seller site's region menu. As an affiliate, you can earn commission on products sold through your videos, LIVE sessions and showcase, without holding stock.
LIVE Gifts and Subscription
At 18 or over you can go LIVE and collect Diamonds from Gifts. Subscription lets fans pay a monthly fee in their own currency, and TikTok says you keep 70% after app store fees.
Brand campaigns
TikTok One brings brand campaigns into the app, and German brands also pay creators directly. Creator Rewards income tends to be steady but modest, so brand work often pays more per video.
For context, my page on TikTok earnings in Australia shows what creators face where the programme isn't open, and my guide to Snapchat Spotlight earnings in Germany covers another platform that pays German creators.
