How to See Who Viewed Your TikTok Profile (What Works in 2026)

Straight answer: TikTok does not let you see who viewed your profile, full stop, and any app or website that claims otherwise is either lying to you or harvesting your data.

Straight answer: TikTok does not let you see who viewed your profile, full stop, and any app or website that claims otherwise is either lying to you or harvesting your data. What you can do is see how many people viewed your profile over the last 7, 28, or 60 days through TikTok's own Analytics, and use that number alongside shares and follower growth to work out roughly who is looking.

Why this feature doesn't exist (and why TikTok won't add it)

I get asked this question more than almost anything else in my client work, usually by someone convinced they've spotted their ex, their boss, or a competitor lurking on their page. The honest bit is: you cannot know that, and TikTok has said publicly it has no plans to change that. Instagram doesn't show it either. Neither does YouTube. It's not a technical limitation, it's a deliberate privacy choice, because if platforms let everyone see who checked out their profile, people would stop browsing freely and engagement would drop off a cliff. Snapchat is the one major platform that shows who viewed your story, and that's a story view, not a profile view, which is a completely different thing.

So when someone tells you they found an app that reveals your TikTok stalkers, they've either been fooled or they're about to fool you.

What TikTok Analytics shows you

Here's the bit that's useful and that most people skip past because they're too fixated on individual names. TikTok gives you a "Profile views" metric inside its native Analytics, and it's more informative than most creators realise. To find it:

  • Switch to a TikTok Business or Creator account (Settings and privacy, then Manage account, then Switch to Business Account) if you haven't already.
  • Open Creator Tools, tap Analytics.
  • Tap the Overview tab and scroll to "Profile views."
  • Choose your window: 7 days, 28 days, or 60 days.

You'll see a total number and a trend line. That's it. No names, no photos, no timestamps against individuals. But paired with your follower count and content calendar, it tells a story. If you posted a trending sound on a Tuesday and your profile views jumped from 340 to 2,100 by Thursday, you know exactly which video drove it, even without knowing who clicked through. If you want to go deeper on reading this dashboard, I've written a full step-by-step walkthrough on searching your TikTok account analytics that covers every tab, not just profile views.

What happened when I tested a "who viewed my TikTok" app

Last year a client of mine, a bakery owner with around 40,000 followers, asked me to check out an app called something like "Profile Tracker for TikTok" that she'd found in the App Store with a 4.6 star rating and thousands of downloads. I installed it on a spare phone specifically to see what it did before letting anywhere near her business account.

Within thirty seconds it asked for her TikTok login, not through TikTok's official login button, but through a form inside the app itself. That's the first red flag: any legitimate integration uses TikTok's own OAuth login screen, not a third-party form asking for your username and password directly. Second, it asked for notification permissions and contacts access before it had shown a single piece of real data. Third, after "connecting," it generated a list of ten random usernames and labelled them "recent viewers," and when I checked two of those accounts, they were dead profiles with zero posts, clearly bot accounts used across thousands of installs to make the app look convincing. I uninstalled it within four minutes and reported it. It's since disappeared from the store, which happens regularly with these apps, they get pulled, rebrand, and reappear under a new name every few months.

If you've ever handed your login to one of these, change your TikTok password immediately and check Settings and privacy, then Security, then "Login history" for any device or location you don't recognise.

What you can track instead

Since you can't get names, focus on signals that tell you who's engaging, because that's more useful for growing a business anyway. Look at:

  • Shares, which show intent far stronger than a view. TikTok's analytics won't name the person who shared your video either, but the volume tells you what resonated. I've broken down exactly what TikTok's share data does and doesn't reveal if you want the full picture on that.
  • New followers within 48 hours of a spike, which usually correlates directly with a specific video, so check Analytics against your posting log.
  • Comments from accounts you don't recognise, which is the closest thing to a name you'll ever get, because a comment is a viewer who chose to identify themselves.
  • Profile views versus video views ratio. If a video gets 50,000 views but only 200 profile clicks, your content is entertaining but not converting people into wanting to know more about you, which matters if you're building a brand rather than chasing virality.

This is the same logic I use when clients ask about the Creator Fund versus the Creativity Program, people want a single simple number, but the useful answer always sits one layer deeper in the data.

If your account is behaving strangely

Sometimes the real question underneath "who viewed my profile" is "why do I feel like something's off with my account," maybe uploads are stalling, engagement has dropped, or you're getting odd login alerts. Those are separate problems with separate fixes. If it's upload speed, that's usually a device or network issue rather than anything sinister, and I've covered the actual fixes for that in my piece on why TikTok videos take so long to upload. If you run a business account and something looks compromised or you need a real human at TikTok, don't waste time on the in-app help centre loop, go straight to the steps in how to contact TikTok support directly as a business, which gets you past the chatbot faster.

The uncomfortable bit nobody selling you an app wants to say

Here's what I tell every client who's fixated on this: wanting to know who viewed your profile is usually a sign you're spending energy on the wrong metric. In five years of rebuilding my own following after losing most of it during a platform migration, I never once found "who looked at me" useful for growth. What moved the needle was watching which videos made strangers follow me, comment, or click my link in bio, because those are the people who'll buy something or book a call. Chasing the identity of a silent viewer is emotionally satisfying and commercially useless. If you want that energy to do something for your business, put it into analysing your top three performing videos from the last month and posting more like them. That's the whole growth strategy, minus the mystery.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see who viewed my TikTok profile for free?

No. There is no free or paid legitimate way to see individual profile viewers on TikTok, because the platform does not collect or expose that data to users at all, regardless of account type or subscription.

Are there any real apps that show TikTok profile viewers?

No genuine app can show this because TikTok's own systems don't make individual viewer identities available through its API. Any app claiming to show you viewers is generating fake results, often after asking for your login details, which puts your account at risk.

Does TikTok tell you if someone screenshots your profile?

No. TikTok only notifies users about screenshots or screen recordings within private messages in some regions, and even that feature has been rolled back and reinstated inconsistently. It never applies to viewing a public profile or public videos.

What's the closest thing to profile view data TikTok gives you?

The "Profile views" metric inside TikTok Analytics, available to Business and Creator accounts, which shows total view counts over 7, 28, or 60 day periods without any names or identifying details attached.
