Signing Up 

Like all platforms, you need to create an account to use the platform.

So your first step is to choose between brand and creator. 

You’ll obviously know which one you are! 

It takes up to 5 minutes to create your brand account.  Then, you’re ready and the Socail Cat team approves your account in less than 24 hours. 

Onboarding Process 

To match you with relevant influencers on their platform, Social Cat needs information about your brand and in-depth details about what kind of influencers you’re looking for.

Here, you’ll do things like: 

  • Explain what your brand does 
  • Detail your USP 
  • Make your offer to influencers 
  • Select tags that cover your brand 
  • Choose the countries you want to target 
  • Select tags for your particular industry 
  • Link to your own social profiles 
  • Select the platform you want to work on (currently only IG or TikTok) 
  • Choose how you’re paying influencers 
  • Select what kind of creators you’re looking for 
  • Detail what content you want 

All of these things will help to match you with the right creators. 

Most of them are very straightforward. 

But here are a few things you’ll need to pay extra attention to. 

Target Audience 

Choosing your target audience helps to specify creators that have the same audience. 

You can choose from babies and children, to men/women in particular age groups. 

Don’t neglect this step, it’s important to make sure you get the right creators. 

Collaboration Options 

This is where you select what kind of payment the influencer will receive. 

You’ll have to explain this in more detail under the “brand details” section.

If you’re sending products, choose Gifted. 

For a fixed fee per post, choose Paid. 

And if you’re offering a portion of sales, choose Affiliate (but be aware that usually requires a free product on top of the payment percentage, so the creator can make a post with your product). 

You can choose more than one if you want, and then negotiate with the creator. 

Collaboration Details 

Here, you can detail what sort of post you want the creator to make. 

Each one offers quite a lot of information as to what it covers. 

When discussing it with the creator, you can go into more detail about exactly what you’d like. 

You can also choose more than one and then nail it down in discussions. 

Campaign Goal 

Your goal has an influence on what kind of content the creator is likely to make. 

Generating sales is a little harder, while user-generated content is the easiest. 

Matching With Micro-Influencers 

You don’t have to do anything in order to match with influencers. 

Social Cat sends out a daily email, so your brand profile will land right in the inboxes of hundreds of potential matches. 

But it’s up to the influencer to choose your brand. 

This might sound like it’s a little unfair… 

Or make you nervous because it’s out of your hands. 

But it’s advantageous for a few reasons: 

  • It’s an automatic qualifying process. You never end up chatting to someone who isn’t actually interested in working with your brand. 
  • It saves a bunch of time. You don’t need to go out of your way to search through lists of influencers and figure out if they’re right for your brand. 

All you do is sit back and wait  It takes up to 24 hours to see the first influencers wanting to work with you.. 

Once someone likes your brand, Social Cat makes a virtual introduction via email. 

From there, you can go ahead and talk business.
