Seedance Prompts: Copy and Paste Ideas for Multi-Shot AI Video

These Seedance prompts help you make product clips, short multi-shot stories, animated photos and social intros. Copy one, swap the [brackets] for your own details and paste it into Dreamina's AI Video box. Dreamina's own guide says Seedance works best with rich, cinematic descriptions, so name the camera move and the light.

Seedance is ByteDance's video model, and the thing that sets it apart is multi-shot: one prompt can give you a short sequence of connected shots rather than a single clip. That's a big deal if you run a small business and want a mini advert or a social teaser without hiring a crew.

I've grouped the prompts below by the job you're doing. Copy one, swap every [bracket] for your own details, and paste it into the AI Video box in Dreamina, where Seedance lives for most people outside China. If you're animating a photo, use your own picture or one from someone who's happy to appear. Don't name real people, celebrities or famous characters.

Seedance prompts for small business product videos

Product clips work when the camera has a clear job. Dreamina's own Seedance guide recommends camera terms like dolly shot, close-up and crane movement, so every prompt here gives the camera something specific to do.

Copy this prompt

Slow dolly shot moving towards a [handmade candle] on a rustic wooden shelf, warm morning light through a window, soft steam rising from a mug nearby, calm and inviting mood.

Before and after for a service

Copy this prompt

Cut from a cluttered [garden shed] in flat grey light to the same space neatly organised in bright sunshine, same camera angle in both shots, satisfying transformation feel.

Seedance multi-shot prompts for short story sequences

This is where Seedance shines. Dreamina suggests transition words like "cut to" between shots, and repeating key details such as clothing so the character stays the same from shot to shot.

Three-shot cafe opening

Copy this prompt

Shot one: wide view of a quiet [high street cafe] at dawn. Cut to: close-up of a barista in a green apron turning the sign to open. Cut to: the barista in the green apron smiling at the first customer.

A runner in a red jacket ties their laces at a park gate at sunrise. Cut to: the runner in the red jacket jogging past trees, tracking shot. Cut to: the runner stretching, breath visible in cold air.

Seedance prompts for animating your own photos

With image-to-video, Dreamina's guide says the motion should match the photo. Small, believable movements work better than big actions that fight the picture you uploaded.

Gentle life in a portrait

Copy this prompt

Bring this photo to life with subtle motion: the person blinks slowly, a light breeze moves their hair, and they settle into a relaxed smile. Keep the background still and the framing unchanged.

Moving water in a holiday snap

Copy this prompt

Animate this photo gently: waves roll softly onto the sand, clouds drift slowly across the sky, palm leaves sway a little. No new objects, no camera shake, calm holiday feel.

Steam and light in a food photo

Work with me

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

Add soft motion to this photo of [dish]: steam curls upward, candlelight flickers on the table, a slow push in towards the plate. Keep colours and composition the same.

Old family photo, kept respectful

Copy this prompt

Animate this photo with very small movements only: a soft blink, a slight turn of the head, fabric shifting in a breeze. Keep the original grain and tones, nothing dramatic.

Pet portrait with a little personality

Copy this prompt

Bring this photo of my [dog or cat] to life: ears twitch, head tilts curiously towards the camera, tail moves gently. Background stays still, warm indoor light, playful mood.

Seedance prompts for social media clips and channel intros

For Reels, Shorts and TikTok, pick the vertical format in Dreamina before you hit Generate, then keep the prompt about one strong visual idea.

Bold vertical opener

Copy this prompt

Vertical frame, fast whip pan across a colourful [studio workspace] landing on a neon sign reading [channel name], energetic lighting, punchy and modern, ends on a clean held frame.

Loopable background for a talking video

Copy this prompt

Slow drifting camera through soft out-of-focus bokeh lights in [brand colours], gentle movement, calm and premium, suitable as a looping background behind someone speaking.

Behind the scenes reveal

Copy this prompt

Handheld shot moving past shelves of [supplies] in a small workshop, then pulling back to reveal the whole space, natural light, relaxed and authentic behind-the-scenes feel.

Seasonal hook

Copy this prompt

Close-up of frosted [shop window] with snow falling outside, camera slowly pushing through the glass into a warm, glowing interior full of [products], festive and inviting mood.

Quote card in motion

Copy this prompt

Soft paper texture background with ink spreading slowly into abstract shapes in [colour], gentle top-down camera, calm and thoughtful mood, leaving clear space in the centre for a caption.

Seedance prompts for atmosphere and b-roll

B-roll fills the gaps in a longer video. These prompts lean on light, weather and texture rather than people, so they're easy to drop into any edit.

Rainy window mood

Copy this prompt

Close-up of rain trickling down a window, blurred city lights behind, slow rack focus from droplets to the street, moody blue evening palette, quiet and reflective.

Countryside drone sweep

Copy this prompt

Aerial crane shot gliding over rolling green fields and stone walls at golden hour, long shadows, a winding lane below, peaceful and expansive feel.

Office at golden hour

Copy this prompt

Slow tracking shot through an empty modern office at sunset, warm light across desks and plants, dust floating in the beams, calm and optimistic mood.

How to get better results from Seedance prompts

  • Describe the scene richly. Dreamina's guide says Seedance works best with rich, cinematic descriptions, so name the light, the setting and the mood rather than writing three vague words.
  • Give the camera a job. A dolly shot, close-up or crane movement turns a static scene into something that looks planned.
  • Use "cut to" for multi-shot sequences, and repeat the same clothing, colours or props in every shot so the subject stays consistent.
  • For image-to-video, ask for motion that fits the photo. A blink or a breeze works; a sudden leap usually breaks the picture.
  • Change one thing at a time between versions. If the lighting's right but the camera isn't, only edit the camera words.
  • Write the action in order. Seedance reads your prompt from start to finish, so put what happens first at the start.

Frequently asked questions

What is Seedance?

Seedance is a video generation model from ByteDance Seed. It turns text or images into video, and ByteDance says it can produce narrative videos with several connected shots in one go.

Where do I type Seedance prompts?

For most people it's Dreamina. Open AI Video, type your description into the text box, optionally upload a reference image, choose your settings and click Generate.

Can Seedance keep the same character across shots?

ByteDance says the model keeps the main subject and style consistent across shots. It helps to repeat the same details, such as a red jacket, in each part of your prompt.

Can I animate my own photos with Seedance?

Yes, it supports image-to-video. Use your own photos or ones you've got permission to use, and ask for small movements that fit the picture.

Should I put real people or famous characters in my prompts?

No. Describe an invented person instead, and only animate photos of people who've agreed. It keeps your videos safe to share.
