With 1 million followers in Pakistan, Instagram itself pays you nothing for the follower count, and Pakistan isn't named in Meta's lists for Instagram gifts, bonuses, its brand-matching tool or even Facebook Content Monetization. Your income at that size comes from brands, local and international, paying for posts, partnership ads and ambassador work, usually settled in rupees or in US dollars moved home through a service such as Payoneer.
If you've built a million followers from Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad, congratulations. You're sitting on one of the fastest-growing Instagram audiences in the region. I'll be straight with you about the money, though, because a lot of what circulates on YouTube about Instagram income in Pakistan is guesswork dressed up as fact.
Pakistan's Instagram audience grew by almost a quarter in a year
Start with why your million is valuable. DataReportal, using figures from Meta's own advertising tools, reports that Instagram had 22.4 million users in Pakistan in late 2025. More striking is the growth: Instagram's potential ad reach in Pakistan rose by 4.20 million, or 23.1 percent, over the twelve months to late 2025.
For brands, that growth is the story. Advertisers follow attention, and a fast-rising audience means more companies building creator budgets for Pakistani Instagram. A creator who already has a million followers is the obvious first call when they do.
The same data shows a strong skew: 63.0 percent of Instagram's adult ad audience in Pakistan was male and 34.9 percent female. That matters when you pitch. If your account serves women in a market where they're the minority on the app, you're a scarcer and more valuable route to them for beauty, fashion and home brands. If your audience is mostly young men, cricket, gaming, tech and finance brands are your natural fit.
Which Meta payments a Pakistani account can't reach yet
Here's the less cheerful part. Instagram for Creators lists subscriptions, gifts, bonuses, badges, partnership ads, brand partnerships and a brand-matching tool as its earning routes. When you check where Meta has switched those on, Pakistan keeps missing out:
- Gifts: Meta's expansion named 33 countries, and Pakistan wasn't one of them, even though your following is far past the 5,000-follower minimum.
- Bonuses: invite-only, and the holiday bonus test named the United States, South Korea and Japan.
- Meta's brand-matching tool: extended from the US to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Japan, India and Brazil. Pakistan isn't named.
- Subscriptions: according to Buffer, you need to be 18 or over, have at least 10,000 followers and live in an eligible country, and Pakistan isn't on its list.
Facebook is no escape hatch here, which surprises a lot of people. Meta's help page for Facebook Content Monetization lists countries from Algeria to the United States, and Pakistan isn't among them. Oddly, Urdu is one of the listed languages, so this could change, but for now a Pakistani creator can't count on Facebook performance pay. Facebook Subscriptions are open to Pages in 37 listed countries, and Pakistan isn't one of those either.
So the realistic position is simple. At a million followers in Pakistan, Meta pays you nothing directly unless it invites you into something. Keep an eye on the monetisation tab in your Professional Dashboard, because that's the only place an invite or new tool will show up for your account.
How brands pay a million-follower creator in Pakistan
With Meta's own tools out of reach, your income is a business you run with brands. At this size the most common shapes are:
- Single paid posts or Reels for a product launch.
- Ambassador deals over several months, often with exclusivity.
- Partnership ads, where the brand runs your content as an ad.
- Content-only deals, where the brand pays for the video and posts it on its own account.
- Your own products, courses or services, sold to an audience that already trusts you.
Partnership ads deserve a closer look because they're where big accounts earn more. Meta says a brand can run your Reels, stories, static posts or carousels as ads that reach beyond your followers, and its creator site encourages you to ask for higher pay because the brand gets extended usage rights. One thing to plan for: anything with licensed music can't be run as a partnership ad, so if you think a brand will boost a video, use royalty-free audio.
For a feel of how performance at a smaller scale is talked about in Pakistan, my piece on what two hundred thousand views is worth in Pakistan sits nicely alongside this one.
The CCP rule on paid endorsements
Pakistan does have a regulator watching influencer content. The Competition Commission of Pakistan, the CCP, has warned influencers, content creators and advertisers that false or misleading endorsements are, on the face of it, a breach of Section 10 of the Competition Act, 2010.
The key point for you is disclosure. According to the CCP, an endorsement is misleading if you haven't disclosed your material connection to the brand, which means saying whether you're a real user, a paid performer, an employee, or someone who got the product free. At a million followers, a careless post reaches a lot of people, so build the habit in: use Instagram's paid partnership label and say it in your caption too. If a campaign makes health, money or results claims, ask the brand for evidence before you say them on camera. I'm not a lawyer, so get local legal advice on anything unusual.

Turning dollar deals into rupees
The Pakistani rupee, code PKR, is issued under the control of the State Bank of Pakistan. Local brands will usually pay in rupees by bank transfer. International brands tend to pay in US dollars, which is where a lot of Pakistani creators get stuck.
One documented route is Payoneer. Payoneer says customers of Meezan Bank can link their Payoneer account in the Meezan Bank app and transfer funds from USD to PKR. Other banks and services exist, so check fees and exchange rates before you choose, and agree the currency and payment date with the brand in writing before you post.
Please don't skip the tax conversation. Brand income is income, and I'm not a tax adviser, so speak to a Pakistani accountant about how to declare your creator earnings. Clean invoices and bank records from your first deal make that far easier.
What sets your fee at a million followers
I haven't found a reputable named source that publishes rupee rates for a Pakistani account of this size, so I won't invent one. Instead, here's what I'd put in front of a brand when you negotiate:
| What the brand weighs | What to show them |
|---|---|
| Typical reach per Reel | Your average from Insights, not your best video |
| Audience location | The share of your followers in Pakistan, and which cities |
| Gender and age mix | Your own split, set against the national 63.0 to 34.9 male to female skew |
| Usage rights | A separate fee for partnership ads or content the brand reposts |
| Exclusivity | A higher fee if you can't work with competitors |
If you'd like to compare with a market where more of Meta's tools are live, my guide to what a million Reel views pays in India shows the difference those extra tools make, and the same million-follower question in Nigeria is a good contrast, because Nigeria is on Facebook's monetisation list and Pakistan isn't.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Instagram pay for 1 million followers in Pakistan?
Nothing directly for the follower count. Instagram has no per-follower rate, and its gifts, bonuses and brand-matching tool aren't named for Pakistan, so income at this size comes from brands.
Is Facebook Content Monetization available in Pakistan?
Pakistan isn't on Meta's published country list for Facebook Content Monetization, although Urdu is a listed language. Watch your Professional Dashboard for any invite.
Do Pakistani influencers have to disclose paid posts?
Yes. The Competition Commission of Pakistan says an endorsement is misleading if the endorser hasn't disclosed a material connection, such as being paid or getting the product free.
How can I receive dollar payments from foreign brands in Pakistan?
One documented route is Payoneer, which says Meezan Bank customers can link a Payoneer account and transfer funds from USD to PKR. Compare fees and rates before you choose.
Can I get Instagram subscriptions in Pakistan with 1 million followers?
You easily pass the follower bar, which Buffer puts at 10,000, but Pakistan isn't on Buffer's list of eligible countries. Check your Professional Dashboard in case that changes.
