Kick pays streamers 95% of their subscription and KICKs tipping revenue through a 95/5 split, so a flat 5 US dollar sub pays the streamer 4.75. Streamers in the KICK Partner Program can also earn revenue per stream, but Kick doesn't publish that rate, and payouts go through Stripe weekly or monthly.
Kick made its name by offering streamers a bigger slice than its rivals, and that's still the headline. But the detail matters, because Kick has two different routes to income with very different bars, and its help pages don't always use the same names for them. Here's what Kick's own help centre says about how it pays, what you need, and how the money reaches you.
How Kick pay works: the 95/5 split
Kick's revenue split article says it uses a 95/5 split across its main revenue streams. The streamer keeps 95% and the other 5% is described as a processing fee. Two income streams sit under that rule:
- Subscriptions. Kick says subs are a flat 5 US dollars per month. The streamer receives 4.75 and the processing fee is 0.25.
- KICKs. These are Kick's tipping currency. Kick says you receive 95% of the value of KICKs sent to your channel.
There's no regional pricing either. Kick's international payments article says subscriptions are a flat 5 US dollars globally, so a subscriber in one country supports you exactly as much as a subscriber in another. That's a real contrast with platforms where local pricing changes what each sub is worth.
How to make money on Kick: the two routes
Enabling subscriptions
Kick's help centre says the first step, which lets you switch on paid subscriptions, needs you to stream for at least 5 total hours. The hours are cumulative, so short sessions over several days all count. Once you reach it, an Enable Subscriptions button appears in your Streamer Dashboard. Kick's own pages call this status Partner in one article and Affiliate in others, so don't worry if the label you see differs.
The KICK Partner Program
This is the bigger programme, and Kick says it lets creators earn revenue per stream. Its help article lists these metrics, which it says are still subject to change:
- A verified channel, with social media links and a completed About section
- A minimum average of 75 CCV in the past 30 days
- 30 hours streamed in the past 30 days
- A minimum of 25 active subscriptions in the past 30 days
- 250 unique chatters in the past 30 days
- 3 VODs in the past 30 days
- At least 250 followers
Kick says meeting the metrics makes you eligible to apply, not automatically accepted, and you apply by email from the address linked to your account. Creators with an established audience on another platform can try Fast Track instead, which Kick says its Partnerships team reviews within 24 hours.
How much the KICK Partner Program pays
Here's the honest gap. Kick doesn't publish the per-stream rate or the formula behind it, so any hourly figure you see quoted online comes from individual streamers, not from Kick. What Kick does say gives you some clues about what matters: the programme's own metrics focus on concurrent viewers, chat activity, subs and regular streaming, so those are the levers to work on.
There's one rule Kick does spell out. Its multistreaming article says a KICK Partner Program streamer's payout is reduced by 50% for the duration of a session that's also going out to another long-form livestreaming platform. Short-form or vertical platforms don't need the multistreaming toggle. If you stream to Twitch and Kick at once, that halving is worth factoring in.
Other ways Kick streamers earn
Kick also runs Bounties, which are challenge-based rewards posted on its Bounties site. Kick's revenue split article says the amount you can earn is set in each Bounty post. Its Bounties guide adds that if you're not a KICK Affiliate, some Bounties may pay a gift card instead of gifted subscriptions.
Beyond Kick itself, streamers build income the same way creators do everywhere: brand deals, merch and products of their own. If you're weighing Kick against other options, my guide to how to make money on Twitch shows how a rival with a lower split but bigger tools compares.
How and when Kick pays you
Every Kick payout goes through Stripe, so you'll set up a Stripe account from your Revenue dashboard. Kick's payout article explains the options:

| Payout detail | What Kick says |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Weekly or monthly for verified streamers; monthly only if not verified |
| US methods | ACH bank transfer, or instant payout to a debit card capped at 9,000 US dollars per payout |
| International timing | Usually 3 to 7 business days |
| PayPal | Only for paying for subs, not for payouts |
| Currency conversion | Kick absorbs Stripe's 1.50% fee |
Kick's subscription setup guide also says payment timing varies by country but should usually be between 1 and 4 weeks. The main limit is geography: Kick says you need to live in a country Stripe supports, and your Stripe account must be in your own name. If Stripe isn't available where you live, you can't receive payouts yet.
Kick tax and account rules to watch
Kick says it provides 1099 tax forms for US streamers when applicable, while tax reporting outside the US is the streamer's own responsibility. Streaming income is usually taxable, so check with an accountant about what applies to you.
Kick can also refuse or remove verification and Partner status for rule breaks, so the usual advice holds: no bought followers, no fake chatters. The programme looks at unique chatters for a reason, and padded numbers are easy to spot.
Kick pay checklist
| What | How it works | Source checked |
|---|---|---|
| Sub split | 95/5, so 4.75 of a 5 US dollar sub | Kick revenue split article |
| KICKs tips | 95% of the value | Kick revenue split article |
| Enable subs | At least 5 total hours streamed | Kick help centre |
| Per-stream pay | KICK Partner Program, rate not published | Kick help centre |
| Multistreaming | Payout cut by 50% during the session | Kick multistreaming article |
| Payouts | Through Stripe, weekly or monthly | Kick payout article |
Kick's split is generous, but the split only matters if people subscribe. Treat it like any creator platform: build the audience first and spread your income, the way I'd compare it with what Pinterest pays creators before deciding where your time goes.
