How to Find Saved Reels on Facebook (App and Computer, 2026)

To find saved reels on Facebook, open the Facebook app, tap the menu, then tap Saved. Your saved reels sit in that list with your other saved posts, videos and links. You can filter the list by type or open a collection if you've sorted your saves into folders. On a computer, the Saved link sits in the left-hand menu.

If you can't see the Saved option straight away, it's usually tucked under a See more link or inside the Shortcuts section of the menu. Facebook moves things around now and then, so I'll show you where to look and how to find it again if the layout changes.

On the Facebook app

These steps work on both iPhone and Android, though the menu icon sits in a different corner on each. On iPhone it's usually at the bottom right. On Android it's usually at the top right.

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap the menu icon (three lines, or your small profile picture).
  2. Scroll until you see Saved. If it isn't listed, tap See more or look under Shortcuts.
  3. Tap Saved to open your list of everything you've saved.
  4. Use the filter options at the top of the list to narrow it down. Look for a type such as Videos or Reels, or scroll the list until you spot the reel.
  5. Tap the reel to play it. Tap the three dots next to an item if you want to remove it from your saved list.

Your most recent saves usually show near the top, so a reel you saved today shouldn't be far down. If you've saved a lot over the years, the filter saves you a lot of scrolling.

One more thing that catches people out: a saved reel appears in the same place as a saved post, link or photo. It doesn't get its own separate tab. That's why the filter matters so much.

Menu names can look different from the ones I've used here, depending on your app version and country. If you can't find an option, open the search box inside Facebook and type the word, such as Saved, and the app will usually point you in the right direction.

On a computer

You can also find saved reels in a web browser. It's often easier there if you've saved a lot, because you can see more of the list at once.

  1. Open Facebook in your browser and log in.
  2. Look at the menu down the left side of the home page. Click Saved. If you don't see it, click See more.
  3. Browse the list in the middle of the page. The filters on the left let you narrow it to videos or a particular collection.
  4. Click a reel to open it, or hover over the three dots next to it to unsave or move it.

The desktop view is useful if you're hunting for one specific reel. You can use your browser's find shortcut to search the page for a word from the caption, as long as it's already loaded on screen.

Collections: keep saved reels tidy

Collections are like folders for your saves. If you use them, you'll stop losing reels in one long list. I'd set up three or four and keep it simple, like recipes, ideas, funny and to watch later.

  • Save to a collection from the start. When you tap the save option on a reel, Facebook often shows a prompt that lets you pick a collection or create a new one. Choose one straight away.
  • Move an older save into a collection. Open your Saved list, tap the three dots next to the item and look for an option to add it to a collection.
  • Create a new collection. Inside Saved, look for a button that says to create a collection, then give it a short name you'll remember.
  • Share a collection only if you want to. Collections can be shared with others, so check the audience setting before you add anyone.

It's worth taking five minutes now to sort your older saves. You'll find what you want much faster next time, and you'll notice which ones you no longer care about.

Why a saved reel disappeared

Sometimes you open Saved and a reel you remember isn't there, or it's there but won't play. There are a few common reasons, and most aren't a sign that anything's wrong with your account.

  • The creator deleted it. If the person who posted the reel removes it, it vanishes from everyone's saved list too.
  • It was made private or the audience changed. The creator may have limited who can see it, so it no longer shows for you.
  • The page or profile is gone. If the account was deactivated or removed, its content can disappear.
  • It was taken down. Facebook removes content that breaks its rules, and saved copies go with it.
  • You've blocked the creator, or they've blocked you. Blocking changes what each side can see.
  • You unsaved it by accident. A stray tap on the three dots can remove it. Check you're not looking at a different collection.

Once a reel's gone for the first reasons on that list, there's no way to bring it back from your side. That's one reason people like to keep copies of things they really want. I've covered the safe options in my guide on watching Facebook reels offline.

Saved vs watched history

These two get mixed up all the time. Saved is a list you build on purpose. Watch history is what Facebook records automatically as you scroll.

Does it stay?Yes, until you remove it or the reel is goneUntil you clear it

Can you clear it?Yes, one item at a timeYes, there's an option to clear history

If you only watched a reel and didn't save it, it won't be in Saved. Try your activity log instead. If you want to tidy up what Facebook remembers you've watched, my guide on how to clear the reels you've watched on Facebook walks you through it.

Instagram works differently, with its own Saved tab inside your profile menu. If that's the one you're after, I've written up the steps in my guide to finding saved reels on Instagram.

A quick tip before you go: if you often save reels to watch later, make a habit of opening your Saved list once a week and clearing out the ones you've seen. It keeps the list short and useful.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my saved reels on Facebook?

They're in the Saved section of the Facebook menu, mixed in with your other saved posts and videos. Use the filter to show videos or reels, or open a collection if you've sorted them.

Why can't I find a reel I saved?

The creator may have deleted it, made it private, or had their account removed. It's also possible you unsaved it by mistake or you're looking in the wrong collection.

Can I see saved reels on my computer?

Yes. Open Facebook in a browser and click Saved in the left-hand menu. If you don't see it, click See more.

Does the person who posted a reel know I saved it?

No. Saving is private, so the creator isn't told when you save their reel.

Is saving a reel the same as downloading it?

No. Saving keeps a shortcut inside Facebook. The video still lives on Facebook and can vanish if the creator removes it.
