Blogs about blogging that accept guest posts are a long-established niche. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 111 sites are tagged blogging: 97 were live and 66 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include blog.hubspot.com, creativebloq.com and copyblogger.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
Blogs about blogging were where guest posting started. Long before it became a link building tactic, bloggers swapped posts to reach each other's readers, and many of the sites on this page built their audiences that way. That history still shapes them: their editors have seen every kind of guest post, the good and the lazy, and they can tell the difference fast.
This page pulls the blogging sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many blogging blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Blogging sites on my list | 111 |
| Live when checked | 97 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 66 |
| Dead or parked | 14 |
About one in eight was dead or parked. The ones that survived are often run by people who make a living from their blogs, so they keep them maintained, and the authority is high: two thirds of the live sites had a domain authority of 40 or more.
Which blogging blogs accept guest posts?
Twelve live sites from my list, with their domain authority when I checked:
- blog.hubspot.com: DA 91
- creativebloq.com: DA 87
- labnol.org: DA 81
- copyblogger.com: DA 77
- marketingprofs.com: DA 75
- problogger.com: DA 75
- shoutmeloud.com: DA 72
- blogcritics.org: DA 71
- writetodone.com: DA 67
- dumblittleman.com: DA 65
- blogherald.com: DA 61
- johnchow.com: DA 57
The category also includes some very large tech and news publishers that once ran contributor blogs. Treat those as long shots, because their contributor programmes change often. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.
Blogging tips, making money or the tools behind it?
Blogging sites cover several distinct topics, and editors usually stick to one or two:
- Writing and content craft, for headlines, structure, editing and finding your voice.
- Growing a blog, for traffic, email lists, social media and search.
- Making money from a blog, for sponsorships, products, services and advertising.
- Tools and platforms, for WordPress, hosting, themes, plugins and productivity apps.
The tools group is the natural home for software and hosting brands. The making money group is the most crowded, so a pitch there needs a story from your own blog, with real results.
What do blogging editors want?
Experience. The readers of blogs about blogging are bloggers themselves, and they want to hear from someone who has done the thing. A post about growing an email list should say how you grew yours, what didn't work and what you'd do differently. Generic advice that could be about any blog won't get through.
Editors also look at your own blog before they say yes. If you're pitching advice on blogging, make sure your site is current, readable and looks cared for. It's your credential.
Expect questions about links. Blogging editors understand links better than most, so they'll ask why each one is there. A link to a free template, a checklist or a detailed tutorial that supports the post is easy to approve. A link with a keyword-heavy anchor that has nothing to do with the paragraph around it is the quickest way to lose an editor's goodwill, and many of these sites keep a note of writers they won't work with again.
Free guest post or sponsored post on a blogging blog?
Many blogging blogs still accept free guest posts, though the bigger ones are choosy and slow. Sponsored posts are faster and more predictable, and they suit tool and hosting brands that want a placement on a schedule. Whichever you choose, check that the site still publishes and still links out in the way it used to.
How do you check a blogging blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
- Check the comments and shares. A blogging blog with an engaged community is worth more than one that only publishes guest posts.
- Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.
There's more in how to check backlink quality and my guide to high DA guest posting sites. If your topic overlaps, my lifestyle blogs that accept guest posts and technology blogs that accept guest posts pages may help.
How should you pitch a blogging blog?
Start with the result, then the method. "How I landed my first sponsor while my blog was still small" tells the editor exactly what they're getting. Then add two backup titles and a line about who you are and what you blog about.
If you represent a tool, don't hide it. Say what the tool does, and pitch a post that would be useful even to someone who never uses it. Editors on these sites are happy to mention a helpful tool in context. They won't run an advert dressed as advice.
Can you place a blogging post on my blog?
Yes, when it helps business bloggers. lilachbullock.com has been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, so blogging is close to home for me. My readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Posts about business blogging, content strategy and the tools behind it fit best. Guidelines are on my blogging page.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent. I invoice by PayPal, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.
