The internet has given everyone the ability to start their own brand with minimal or even no start-up costs. However, because of this, it has also become a graveyard of many failed attempts. If you want to document your new year’s health resolutions and ideally build up a brand of your own, then you need more than just good intentions. Use these top tips to help you get started: 

Keep Your Site Simple, but Beautiful 

Everyone can learn a few basics of web design, especially since website builders today are designed especially for people just like you. With just a few hours and some online guides, you can have a beautiful website for free. It is ideal if you invest just a little bit of money, of course, because if you use a free website builder, then you are locked onto that hosting site. 

To build a website of your own isn’t necessarily harder, it just means you need: 

  1. A domain name 
  2. A hosting subscription 
  3. A content management system 
  4. A theme 

Domain names are often included even in the most basic subscription from a hosting provider, so you’ll have that set up for you right off the bat. As for your content management system (CMS), go with WordPress. WordPress is an open-source CMS that is free to use and very powerful. It even comes with some great free themes to start with, and you can always change the theme in the future to a premium version later on. 

Take Your Readers with You on Your Health Journey 

Let’s say you are following a nutrition and weight loss plan and you’re taking Mounjaro. Many people would love to know your opinion about the plan you follow, what your experience with doctors has been like, what side effects the medication brings, and if you have managed to achieve your goals.

There are a lot of diet tips and tricks out there. Many are scams, while others are truly beneficial and can help those with their weight loss goals. The goal is to provide your readers and your audience with value. In the health world, this means valuable information and real, honest advice on how they can also finally lose weight and get fit.

The internet is a very visual space. You will want to offer your audience content in written form, of course, but you’ll also want to try to improve your visuals as well through quality photography and infographics. This means you need to get a good camera and set up a lighting solution, and more. You don’t need a lot to do this, and these tools can be used many times throughout your life, making them a great investment. 

Build a Community 

With everything so far, you have exactly what you need to be an influencer, but at the end of the day, it means nothing if no one is engaging with you. To start, engage with others. Make friends and build a community online, even if you aren’t at the center of it. It takes time, but you’ll meet great people and learn so many incredible things by staying genuine and authentic online.
