It wasn’t always this way

The clock has just hit 8:30am. 

You sit down, open your laptop, and click on your email. 

Your fresh cup of coffee and your motivation are already cooling down. 

As your email pops open, you’re bombarded with… 

“Boost your Instagram followers and make money for nothing!” 

“Paid ads are the solution to all your business problems!” 

“LinkedIn is dead, do THIS instead!” 

“STOP posting content and get on YouTube if you want your business to survive!” 

“Buy this NOW if you want to be successful!” 

One thing after another, promising to fix your business and make you a ton of money. 

It’s enough to make anyone overwhelmed, especially if you’re already doing these things they’re vehemently insisting are wrong. 

Luckily for you, I understand what works and what doesn’t. But it wasn’t always this way. 

Back when I started my first business, I tried it ALL. 

Paid Facebook ads, Google ads, YouTube ads, banner adverts, social media marketing, cold-calling, networking events, email, old-school snail mail… 

I did all right. But it was overwhelming. 

I was getting clients, but not always the best ones. 

And it was costing me money, sleep, and happiness. 

I had a baby to look after, I had quit my full-time job, and I was really all alone in the business world. 

I was miserable. 

And I felt like I would never be able to do this business thing. 

It wasn’t until I started focusing on specific business pillars that things started turning around. 

I put together a framework of specific actions, and when I started doing them consistently, a few things started happening: 

  • I started getting the results I was looking for 
  • My dream clients started coming in 
  • My sales doubled… Then tripled, then more 
  • I was getting more done in less time 
  • Others were coming to me for advice 
  • I began enjoying work 

And I kicked myself when I realised that it wasn’t nearly as hard as I was making it seem in the beginning. 

If you can follow a system, be disciplined, and stay consistent… 

You can be successful. 

It doesn’t matter if you have experience or not. 

It doesn’t matter if you’re a first-time entrepreneur or if you’re starting your 10th business. 

Everyone can build and run a successful business if they follow a few principles.
