The free Zapier alternative: How to become more productive and grow your business with ApiWay

Want to save time managing your business and marketing?

If youโ€™re in business, blogging or marketing, you have to use a plethora of tools and software every day. Which is not only time consuming, but it can also be extremely frustrating.

But thereโ€™s one thing that can make it all so much easier for you: connecting and integrating your apps and software. Even better, doing it for free – with a free Zapier alternative. Because while Zapier is great for integrating your apps, it can also get expensive โ€“ and who wants to pay for even more tools every month?

And itโ€™s also so easy to do that youโ€™re probably going to wonder why you havenโ€™t been doing this all along. Itโ€™s a huge time-saver and something that will help you become more efficient, better organized and so much more productive with your time.

In this blog post, discover how to integrate your apps and software using ApiWay โ€“ the free Zapier alternative! – and become more productive with your time.

What is ApiWay?

ApiWay is a free, very easy-to-use tool that allows you to easily integrate your apps between them and set up triggers and actions automatically (Iโ€™ll show you how that works exactly shortly). Basically, itโ€™s just like Zapier โ€“ only itโ€™s completely free.

What makes it different from Zapier?

Well, for one thing, thereโ€™s the fact that itโ€™s free, of course. And that it focuses specifically on the tools and apps businesses regularly use to market, advertise and grow their business:

Whatโ€™s more, itโ€™s actually free forever: you can use it as much as you want, set up all the integrations, triggers and actions that you need and youโ€™d still never need to pay anything.

Thatโ€™s because theyโ€™re quite transparent about their business model and prefer to offer a free tool and make their money with ads from different software tools.

Which is a win-win if you ask me: not only do you get to set up the integrations for free but you also get a pretty comprehensive list of different types of tools and software for your business, from email marketing software to accounting software and to CRM systems (amongst a plethora of other categories!)

On the other hand, with Zapier, youโ€™ll have to pay if you want to create more than 5 zaps (which is not exactly a lot โ€“ just enough to show you what you can do, but enough to make a real difference).

Back to ApiWayโ€™s integrations, you can see the full list of categories available in the screenshot below:

But for now, letโ€™s get to the good stuff: the integrations. What kinds of integrations can you set? What triggers can you use and what actions can it take? How easy is it all to use?

Using ApiWay to integrate your apps: How does it all work?

First off, you need to create your account; this is a super quick process which literally takes less than 30 seconds and youโ€™re good to go. And, as I mentioned earlier, itโ€™s completely free to sign up (there are no paid plans or hidden fees whatsoever).

Once youโ€™ve signed up, youโ€™ll be taken to the ApiWay Apps dashboard:

This is relatively new and ever-growing service; theyโ€™re constantly adding new apps and services to the list of possible integrations, which are clearly shown on the homepage, as well as on the Apps dashboard:

And, of course, you can always reach out to them directly via email to let them know what others apps youโ€™d love to see on the list of integrations.

If youโ€™re not completely sure what you can do with each integration, simply head over to the Instructions page; there, youโ€™ll find detailed videos showing you exactly what you can do and how to set up the different integrations available within ApiWay:

Or, you could just go to the Apps dashboard and simply select one of the tools you already use to see what integration options you have; for example, I started with Google Sheets as itโ€™s a tool I use every day for my work:

Once youโ€™ve selected an app, ApiWay will show you all the services with which it can be integrated, as seen in the screenshot above.

At this stage, youโ€™ll need to connect all the different apps and tools that you want to integrate (and that are currently available, of course) with ApiWay so that you can then create your โ€œwaysโ€ โ€“ i.e. an integration between 2 apps.

Once youโ€™ve connected all of those apps, in order to create a Way, youโ€™ll need to simply click on Create a Way at the top of your dashboard:

You can name your Way and then find it โ€“ along with any other Ways you created โ€“ in the My Ways dashboard.

Next steps, simply choose a service under Trigger โ€“ Iโ€™ve selected Google Sheets so then Iโ€™m asked to connect my google account to set it all up:

Once selected, I can customize my integration:

If needed, I can also watch a video tutorial to show me how to set it up and what else I can do with this integration.

Next up, I need to choose an action โ€“ this is basically what I want done in Google Sheets:

For example, I might want to start a new spreadsheet row, a new worksheet` or a completely new spreadsheet. Once Iโ€™ve selected the option I want, I can also select the specific spreadsheet that I want to take this action in:

Then, using the Action on the right-hand side of the screen, I can select the service that I want to connect with Google Sheets (or whichever other app youโ€™ve chosen) in order to set up the actions that you want ApiWay to take on your behalf so that you donโ€™t have to.

What can you do with the ApiWay integrations?

ApiWay allows you to easily set a plethora of triggers and actions, as well as integrations between tools โ€“ way too many too go through them all here.

However, to give you a better idea of how you can leverage ApiWay for your business, here are some of the integrations that you can set up, as well as what triggers and actions you can create with this very handy tool (just some of my personal favourites!)

  • Connect your Facebook Lead ads and Google Sheets to easily and automatically collect data from your ads into spreadsheets
  • Connect your Facebook ads with your Gmail account to automatically send emails to your new leads and convert them faster!
  • Connect Facebook ads with your email marketing provider to easily tag or contact new leads automatically and pain-free
  • Get notifications immediately in your Gmail whenever you get a new lead that you should act on
  • Automatically send any offline conversions to your Google Analytics account

And all of these integrations โ€“ and a lot more, considering there are over 50 connectors available โ€“ are super easy to set up, as youโ€™ve seen earlier, with absolutely no coding skills needed.

All you need is to provide access to all the different apps and software you use and select the exact actions and triggers you want. Itโ€™s all self-explanatory but, if youโ€™re still not sure, you can check out their available videos to learn how to set it up or quickly email them with your query or problem.

Why do you need something like this?

Creating integrations between your apps is not only important because it helps you save time โ€“ but also because it can help you improve your businessesโ€™ results.

For example, by setting up email notifications for new leads from ads, youโ€™ll be able to act them quickly and strike while the iron is hot. In other words, youโ€™re increasing your chances of converting that lead into an actual sale.

Plus, it helps you become more organized with all of your data, without you having to lift a finger. So, instead of manually adding new data to your Google Spreadsheets or adding and tagging new leads into your email marketing software, once youโ€™ve set it up with ApiWay, the tool will just do it all for you.

In other words, connecting all of your different apps and software and creating various integrations will help you:

  • Save time
  • Make sure youโ€™re not missing anything important or any business opportunities
  • Become more productive with your time
  • Convert more of your leads into actual sales

Conclusion

Technology can be your best friend; as I already pointed out, by leveraging your apps to the fullest and integrating them, you can achieve more โ€“ and faster, too.

And ApiWay is a great way to do that; itโ€™s not only very easy-to-use but itโ€™s also completely free, with no hidden costs to concern you later on.

Itโ€™s a very powerful and free Zapier alternative โ€“ so if you donโ€™t want to spend even more money on tools but want to become more productive and get the most value out of your apps and software, ApiWay is a great alternative and choice.

Stop wasting time doing things manually when you donโ€™t have to: this way, youโ€™ll simply need to set it up once (and it literally takes minutes to set up a new integration between apps!) and then you can simply forget about it and focus on the tasks that only you can do.
