Business blogs that accept guest posts are easy to find and harder to judge. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 380 sites are tagged business: 309 were live and 186 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include optimizely.com, blackenterprise.com and convinceandconvert.com. Always check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.
If you're searching for business blogs that accept guest posts, you're probably doing one of two things: building links for a client in the business space, or trying to get your own name in front of new readers. Either way, a long list isn't the goal. A short list of sites that are alive and relevant is.
This page pulls the business sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.
How many business blogs on my list still accept guest posts?
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Business sites on my list | 380 |
| Live when checked | 309 |
| Live with DA 40 or more | 186 |
| Dead or parked | 71 |
So roughly 19% of the business sites were dead or parked. That's why a list you haven't checked recently costs you time: every dead site is a pitch nobody reads.
Which business blogs accept guest posts?
Here are twelve live business sites from my list, with their domain authority when I checked:
- optimizely.com: DA 75
- blackenterprise.com: DA 74
- convinceandconvert.com: DA 74
- prdaily.com: DA 74
- siliconrepublic.com: DA 71
- customerthink.com: DA 70
- practicalecommerce.com: DA 69
- articles.bplans.com: DA 67
- elearningindustry.com: DA 66
- ceoworld.biz: DA 64
- addicted2success.com: DA 62
- mycustomer.com: DA 62
The list also includes very large publishers such as Forbes, Entrepreneur and Harvard Business Review. Those run contributor programmes with strict editorial standards, so treat them as long-term goals rather than quick wins. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.
What should you pitch to business blogs?
Angles that tend to land in this niche:
- Practical how-to posts for small business owners: hiring, cash flow, pricing, systems
- Case studies with real numbers from your own business
- Industry trends explained for people running a company, not for analysts
- Leadership and management lessons with a specific story behind them
What do business blog editors look for?
Business editors see a lot of generic advice. The posts that get accepted have a specific angle and proof. "Five ways to improve cash flow" gets ignored. "How we cut our debtor days from 60 to 25 in one quarter" gets read.
They also want posts written for owners and managers, not for other marketers. If your article only makes sense to someone in your industry, it's the wrong blog.
Should you guest post for free or place a sponsored post in business?
Both work, for different jobs. Free editorial guest posts on business blogs take time: you pitch, wait, rewrite and sometimes hear nothing. They're worth it for your own name and long-term relationships. Sponsored posts are faster and more predictable, which is why agencies and link builders working to client deadlines use them. Whichever you choose, the checks below still apply, because a fast placement on a dead site is still wasted.
How do you check a business blog before you pitch?
- Search site:domain.com. If very few pages are indexed, move on.
- Read the three newest posts. If they're all thin sponsored articles, your post will sit in bad company.
- Check traffic by country. Make sure the readers are where your client's customers are.
- Find a name. A real editor is worth more than a form that never replies.
- Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content.

Can you place a business post on my blog?
Often, yes. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles. My readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, with the majority in the USA and the UK. Business topics fit best when they have a business angle: running a business business, marketing it, or the tools behind it. Guidelines for this niche are on my small business and business pages.
How placing a post on my blog works
- Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
- I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
- You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
- I edit, publish and send you the live URL.
Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent. I invoice by PayPal, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.
If you're weighing up where to buy, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.
